Czech version of Bluegreengrey manual is here!
We are noticing that Blue-Green infrastructure is experiencing its expansion all around the world. Namely in Czech Republic cities have started applying newly acquired knowledge more intensively into the practice. We see in czech cityscapes first finished projects that show how the functions of tree planting, rainwater management and the transport function of hard surfaces can be effectively integrated into current city infrastructure. The application of these nature based solutions, especially in highly dense urban spaces delivers long-term positive effect for the society and increases cities' climate resilience.
The power and key to bring sustanable change is in the knowledge and its in our DNA to share it with others and empower decision makers and designers who aims to create sustanable societies.
We are therefore very happy that Edge can give to the czech community an early Christmas present in a form of a czech version of the manual for a Bluegreengrey systems!
The Czech version of the handbook was created in collaboration between Edge and landscape architects from studio K2N LANDSCAPE and leading czech experts on rainwater management, transport infrastructure and tree planting such as David Hora, Květoslav Syrový and Vítek Rous who significantly helped in finding the nomenclature that is matching the czech expert environment.
The handbook is avalible for free download on our Bluegreengrey webage in link bellow!
Merry Christmas!
Štastné a modrozelenošedě veselé Vánoce přeje Edge!
