Yes, "negative" behaviors are protective to the nervous system. When we see behaviors as stress responses, a whole new world opens up.

🥔 Using the warm dough, which btw was a pleasant sensory experience, we made our own Potato Head, while expanded our vocabulary with names of objects and face parts.

🥔 As we put the parts of the face of the Potato Head, we looked at our own face in the mirror and identified our facial expressions, getting a better awareness of our own body parts. A game full of laughter and cute faces!

0️⃣A number identification game. The little balls from the bingo game serve as a spoken numeral.

1️⃣On hearing the number, the child should look for it among the colored numbers and make a print on the dough. Then compare.

2️⃣An appropriate game for training auditory memory, visual perception, and attention. Ideal for large numbers recognition.

3️⃣To make it even more fun, let the child say the numbers as well. Taking turns is always good 0️⃣😜🧒👧🧠5️⃣

Playdough is a very entertaining activity, not to mention a great exercise to strengthen hand muscles. When playing with modeling clay, creativity has no limits. The child has all the decision control over the game, modeling and remodeling the way they want and think is best. There is no right or wrong with this material to play and fun is guaranteed 😍😃

This week I´d like to emphasize the 1/1 support to Special Needs and Early Intervention.

👉 What is believed today is that Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) will be very effective if it is early, intensive. and long-lasting, as it can alter the natural evolution of the disorder since these neuromotor and social skills can be taught.

So if you want to start this week with a good thing for your ASD child, talk to me 😉

The primary idea of this game was to expand the vocabulary and understanding of the concept of vehicles.
Furthermore, it was necessary that the visual perception was refined, since the figures were very similar and quite colorful. Well done, P! Excellent focus and concentration!

The wagon track was the ideal time to start the session by establishing a positive connection, intensifying the bonding time before starting the session.

Moreover, while playing, we trained hand-eye coordination, repetition of movements, and exploration of object positions and their cause and effect.

The noise of the cars served as auditory sensory input the play went on and on! We added some language to it aswell. So much learning with a simple toy 😃🤗🚘

Do you like to play games with your child?
Here we have a simple activity working on the visual ability to find the similarities and distinguish the differences.
During the game, the child answers simple questions which lead him/her to look attentively at the figure in his/her hand and activate his/her critical thinking: Is this the same one? Can you find the one which is the same? Can you show me a different one?

🃏 An interactive and easy-to-engage game!
Our boxes always provide this kind of interaction.

By the way, the children love this book 😄
we decided to carry on reading and developing other skills, such as communication, for example!

After reading the text shown, we explored what we saw on the page. A wonderful opportunity for open questions! What can you see here? Who is this? Where are they? What are they doing? Etc...
Not to forget the large vocabulary.
This´s a very enjoyable and effective time of reading 🙂🦆📖
