A bespoke modern landed residence designed for the tropics.

Completed in 2023, this semi-detached house is conceived to read almost as a detached home, with a series of architectural strategies transforming the constraints of a triangular site into opportunities for light, space, and privacy.

Honoured to have been engaged by Tanglin Rugby Club as part of the consultant team to envision the future Cambridge Field sports and community hub.

More than a sporting venue, the project seeks to create a place where recreation, landscape and community converge.
Phase 1 is now complete.

As the project moves into its final phase, we are grateful to have contributed to the early vision and look forward to seeing it evolve into a vibrant destination in the community.

Along a busy road, this home reveals itself through layers of landscape, light, and materiality. Rather than turning away from its surroundings, the architecture responds by creating a gradual transition from the harshness of the street to the calm within.

At its heart, a Japanese-inspired garden mediates this experience. This garden space; softening noise, filtering light, and bringing moments of stillness into the living spaces. The interiors are kept light and airy, contrasted by a textured and layered facade that provides privacy, depth, and a quiet architectural presence along the street.

Conceived for an international client, this landed residence emerges gently from the landscape - where architecture and nature are woven into a quiet dialogue.
Framed by lush greenery and layered gardens, the journey into the home becomes an experience in itself; a gradual unfolding of light, texture, and space.

Our design approach for this Singapore Polo Club project focused on creating a sophisticated yet welcoming environment through layered textures, refined detailing, and carefully curated spatial experiences. This was crucial in respecting the building’s colonial architectural style.
