香松象征着希望，能给人带来积极向上的斗志，使人对未来充满美好的期望，养殖在家中是吉祥的象征。且它还寓意着在事业上前途明亮，人们事业发展的更加长远更加顺利。

它适合生长在疏松透气且排水性好的土壤中，在生长期间应每隔1～2年为其换一次盆土。在生长期间需提供充足的光照。另外，香松对水分的需求较低，因此浇水要适度，保持土壤湿润但不要过湿。

同时，注意定期修剪香松的枝叶，保持其整齐美观的外形。
