When we first stepped into this one-bedroom unit at Forett, it was a standard blank canvas—functional, but lacking character and spatial clarity. For a homeowner who travels constantly for work, returning home needed to feel like stepping into a serene, top-tier boutique hotel.

We set out to reconfigure the layout: converting the study into a high-capacity storage suite, introducing a raw concrete feature wall, and integrating hidden doorways behind fluted panels.

For this 17-year-old Eunos resale flat, we opened up the layout to let the natural daylight from the bay windows entirely flood the living space. It’s a design curated for connection, anchored by curated display shelves and a warm, inviting dining area built for hosting.

From a dated, 17-year-old HDB resale shell to a highly intentional, light-filled sanctuary. We completely stripped back the original enclosed layout to maximize the flat’s structural daylight, anchoring the communal space with bespoke white French-style windows.

By balancing structural alterations with artisanal finishes—like uneven Italian backsplash tiles and premium quartz surfaces—we transformed a rigid space into a fluid, elegant home tailored for a modern family.

For this project, we wanted to build a sanctuary that lets you shed the noise of the day the second you step through the door, where warm wood textures, earthy plastered walls, and soft celestial details invite you to just breathe.
