We had the pleasure of hosting students from the National University of Singapore Singapore Mechanical Engineering Club and the Electrical & Computer Engineering Club in our office today.
We spent some time sharing more about the role of Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) engineering in the built environment on how systems like air-conditioning, electrical, fire protection and plumbing all come together behind the scenes to make buildings work.
It was also a good opportunity to bridge what is learnt in school with what actually happens on project sites, from coordination across disciplines, to the use of tools like BIM, and the realities of working in a live project environment. We also touched on our commitments in Environment, Social and Governance (ESG).
In addition, we shared more about opportunities like the Singapore-Industry Scholarship (SgIS), and how students can be supported in building a meaningful career within the built environment sector.
At DLE, we continue to invest in building a strong local core and see these engagements as part of that journey — opening doors, sharing experiences, and hopefully sparking interest in the industry.
As an SME, we may not always have the biggest platform, but we believe every effort counts in shaping the next generation.
Thank you to both clubs for taking the time to visit us. Always happy to share and journey together in building the future of our built environment.
