The Last Piece.
Completion is a date on a schedule. Finished is something else entirely.
On day one it is all there. The lights are on, the greenery is up, the floor has had its first clean. Beautiful, and completely still.
Then, weeks later, something shifts. Someone stops rushing through and lingers. Someone drags their laptop toward the window because the light is better. Two people who were only passing each other are still talking twenty minutes later.
Nobody photographs that moment. It is the only one that counts.
Comfort, ease, the pull to stay. Those cannot be specified, ordered, or installed. We build the conditions and then we step back.
The last piece was never ours to place.
