U:phoria architecture+design was established in 2008 and is an energetic & progressive architectural practice based in Singapore. Since then, the firm has amassed a myriad of experiences across various spectrum of projects, ranging from residential to interior design to large scale township planning. We strongly believe that good design entails and encompasses the manifestation of ideas across dic

iplines, and embracing the vibrancy of the social milieu as the design motivation. In designing, U:phoria is always guided by the Direction, Inspiration and Approach as the beacons. It is interesting how Covid19 has disrupted design. Just merely a year ago, we used to design with considerations for human interactions and convenience in our layout. Now, we plan for safe-distancing and with as minimal interactions as possible. Nonetheless, we shoulder on. Its a new world no less, so we adapt. We hasten our pace of adopting technology to combat these changes. It is with these unprecedented conditions that we plan for our latest project, an upcoming food hall at Changi GH Integrated Building. To be ready by 1Q of 2021.

Architecture, History and the Economy are so intertwined.

A Masterplanning done a while back for Abu Dhabi, fusing the concept of a new "Life Corridor" within a Crescent with the existing city fabric. The Life Corridor will house new activities as part of generating a new economy, while keeping the historical aspect of the old city intact. Like a fortress, the Crescent allows for the city to expand while shielding the history from invasive modern intervention.
