We conducted a Ukulele Basics Programme at Yio Chu Kang Secondary School (YCKSS) for students from Pathlight School in October 2026!

YCKSS is one of Pathlight School’s official mainstream school satellite partners. This partnership provides Pathlight students with opportunities to practise real-world social skills while promoting autism awareness and fostering a more inclusive environment within the mainstream school community.

How can Singapore’s music history inspire the next generation of young musicians?

In October 2026, we had the pleasure of bringing our S-Pop Appreciation Programme to Tao Nan School, introducing students to the rich history of Singaporean popular music through engaging presentations, live performances, and stories of local musicians.

Presented by the local performing trio Limtaypeng , comprising Intune Music Directors, Aaron Matthew Lim (林伟强) and Peng Chi Sheng (C.S.Peng （冯启胜） ) with Intune Music Instructor, SiaYeun Tay (郑夏韵) , the programme explored how Singapore’s music scene developed from the early Xinyao movement to the diverse range of Singaporean pop music we hear today.

Designed to help students appreciate local music, understand Singapore’s cultural heritage, and discover their own creative potential, this educational experience demonstrates how music can become a meaningful part of learning beyond the classroom.

Everyone makes mistakes, faces challenges, or experiences moments when life takes an unexpected turn. What matters is not only what has happened in the past, but also the choices we make to move forward. Through AMPLIFY, students heard from a group of former offenders and passionate musicians who have discovered a new direction in life through music. Having been part of the Performing Arts Centre in Changi Prison, these performers experienced how music could provide an outlet for emotions, build self-confidence, and offer hope during difficult times.

Today, as members of AMPLIFY, they continue their musical journeys by sharing their original songs and personal experiences with the wider community. Their stories offered students an authentic perspective on second chances, resilience, accountability, and the courage to change. More importantly, they encouraged students to look beyond a person’s past and recognise the potential for growth, learning, and positive contributions to society.

The AMPLIFY workshop brought learning to life through a combination of music, storytelling, and student participation.

We recently conducted a 2-day Basic Pop Vocalist Programme for Kent Ridge Secondary School as part of its Music & Dance Enrichment Programme. Despite the short duration, the students made impressive progress and demonstrated great enthusiasm throughout the sessions!

Our Basic Pop Vocalist Programme (NAC AEP) is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of pop vocals, the programme provides a fun and interactive learning experience.
