Adršpach Rocks Entrance (competition, 2025)

A “loop” organizes the movement of visitors and guides them to the entrance to the Adršpach Rocks area. The new organization of traffic, parking areas and entrances pushes car traffic into the background and eliminates current collisions. Proposed structures are perceived as horizontal roofs, pergolas and transparent pavilions that make the surrounding landscape, greenery and especially the rocks stand out.

Kazanská Park / Square

The goal of the project is to offer a possible contemporary form of public space for peripheral residential districts. The result is an area of a hybrid nature, something between a park and a square, with elements of small architecture based on the forms typical for playgrounds and artworks of panel housing estates from the second half of the 20th century.

New centre for Zeleneč (competition, 2nd prize, 2025)

In search for the form of public architecture for today's countryside. The new commercial and administrative center encompasses all civic amenities into one Municipal House which opens towards the railway station creating an equally generous public space in front of it. The linear arrangement of the new rental houses leaves space for a large communal garden, too.

Kazanská Park / Square

The goal of the project is to offer a possible contemporary form of public space for peripheral residential districts. In the coming academic year 2024/2025, Martin Jančok, Michal Janák and Gabriela Smetanová will continue to lead their own studio at the Faculty of Architecture and Design of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava. The studio will continue with its previous focus on the relationship between architecture and the city. The topic of the winter semester will be Urban Palaces. Eligible students can send their portfolio to [email protected]

V nadchádzajúcom akademickom roku 2024/2025 budú Martin Jančok, Michal Janák a Gabriela Smetanová aj naďalej viesť vlastný ateliér na Fakulte architektúry a dizajnu Slovenskej technickej univerzity v Bratislave. Ateliér bude pokračovať v doterajšom zameraní na vzťah architektúry a mesta. Témou zimného semestra budú Mestské paláce. Študenti a študentky môžu odteraz posielať svoje portfólio na adresu [email protected]
