💙The Infrastructure Maintenance of African Railway💙

♦️Commencement Date: January 8th, 2016

♦️Project Term: 36 months

🔵 Scope of Work: Routine maintenance includes checking structures and track static geometry, maintaining drainage system, sections with slope excavation, roadbed, turnout, road access, generator, rail lubricator, and adjusting the gauge and geometry of tracks. Mechanical maintenance comprises track geometry measurement, track ultrasonic testing, route tamping, switch tamping, ballast forming, replacement of components, emergency relief, the annual supply of 40,000 square meters of ballast, and 10,000 square meters of gravel.

💙Significance: Every part of the Works was going smoothly during the term, which provided a good guarantee for the owner's post-mining transportation, and satisfied the Employer's daily needs. The Employer highly commented on our quality service and expertise.

🔵Construction of the extension of the 125km railway of Africa Mineral🔵

♦️Project Term: 10 months

🔷Scope of Work: It includes the construction of a 122.482 Km main railway route and 3 junctions. It starts from Port of Pepel, an iron ore transportation port in Sierra Leone, and ends at Tonkolili Mine, the world’s largest monomer iron ore, with a total length of 194 Km. The speed was designed to be 80km/h. Tracks used for this project are narrow-gauge tracks. This is an inter-district and seamless route, with the main track using mobile contact wielding and the railway switch using aluminothermic welding.

🔷Significance: Tt is the longest iron ore conveyance railway in Sierra Leone. Railway is CCECC’s core strength and CCECC has unmatchable technical strength and strong competitiveness in this field. Despite of various difficulties such as short project term and poor construction conditions, CCECC still managed to complete the project on September 30th, 2011. The Employer spoke highly of our effort because of the high quality and punctuality we achieved.🔴

🔶Scope of Work: The first phase includes 4 Single-family villas, two-family villas, a property management building, neighborhood’s entrance, porter's lodge，retaining wall，fences, greening, CCTV system and lighting system, with the gross floor area of 5890 square meters. The second phase includes 2 single-family villas, 2 two-family villas, one office building, 4 condos buildings, swimming pools and other auxiliary facilities, with the gross floor area totaling 7607 square meters.

🔷Significance: This project aims at building a high-end integrated residential area that has its distinctive features, exclusive interior, elegant landscape design and excellent property management, and is capable of offering shopping, food, and entertaining services simultaneously.

🔵Major Civil Works of the Scope of Bumbuna Substation🔵

♦️Project Term: 18 months

🔶Scope of Work: It includes the construction of 130 equipment foundations, transformer foundations, cable trenches, 7 single-story framed buildings with a total floor area of 1850 square meters, and related outdoors auxiliary works.

🔷Significance: This project is the first section of the CLSG Interconnector Project and the largest 225 kV transformer in Sierra Leone. When completed, it will help to fulfill the electricity supply gap in north Sierra Leone, benefiting the local people as well.

💙The China-Aid Project of Freetown Ring Road💙

🔶 Project Site: From Limkokwing University to Regent Village
🔷Commencement Date: November 10th,2018
🔶Project Term: 26 months

🔵Scope of Work: To upgrade the existing road from Limkokwing University to Regent Village. Except the two sections connected to Friendship Road is two-lane road, the rest is four-lane road. The Work comprises the construction of roadbed, retaining wall, culvert, drainage, and auxiliary utility facilities, including traffic and lighting facilities. The total length of the project amounts to 3.2 km.

🔵Significance: The newly-built complex is of great significance for Freetown and even Sierra Leone, because it’s the highest one not only in Sierra Leone but also in west Africa, plus it’s a modern high-rise that comprises hotel, restaurants, bars, entertainment venues, offices, conference rooms and auxiliary parking lots. It’s shaped like a ship, symbolizing the advancement and taking-off of Sierra Leone.

🔵CCECC's Contribution to Sierra Leone🇸🇱🔵

🔶CCECC (SL)Ltd., as a Chinese company, has always been committed to its responsibility in the local community. For example, we have joined the local effort in fighting against the Ebola Virus, received the Ark Peace- the Chinese Humanitarian Medical Ship when it arrived Sierra Leone, helped local people to deal with the mudslide disaster by assigning construction vehicles and our staff at the invitation of the Chinese Embassy in Sierra Leone, as well as joined the local volunteers to clean the beach, etc.

🔷In recent years, we have been working hard to deepen our relationship with the neighboring communities through activities like donating books to local primary schools, leveling the football court for local communities, organizing friendly football matches, participating in the National Cleaning Day activities. What we have done is for a closer and deeper relationship between China and Sierra Leone.

💙Scope of Work: the reinforcement of damaged structure and the support of steel frame, including strengthening the cantilever beam with steel cladding, the stands plate with supporting frame, and the simply supported beam with enlarged section, and repairing the middle area plate with mortar.

💙Significance: The project is characterized by being qualified, efficient and environmentally friendly, and we have a very high standard for the project's quality. Regardless of the tight project schedule and heavy workload, CCECC made it possible to complete the project ahead of the schedule by solving problems caused by the rainy season through elaborate organizing and careful arrangements. CCECC’s effort in constructing the project has been well-received by all sectors of Sierra Leone society
