- Contextual Evolution
จากโจทย์การขยายครอบครัว (Intergenerational Living) แนวคิดหลักคือการเชื่อมโยงวิถีชีวิตใหม่เข้ากับบริบทเดิมของ “บ้านอากงอาม่า” โดยออกแบบให้พื้นที่สอดประสานกันแต่ยังรองรับความเป็นส่วนตัวของครอบครัวใหม่ได้อย่างสมบูรณ์
- The Arrival Court
ใช้ “Court” กลางบ้านเป็นหัวใจหลักในการเชื่อมต่อ (Connector) สถาปัตยกรรมเก่าและใหม่ ทำหน้าที่เป็นทั้ง Private Foyer และพื้นที่สีเขียวที่ดึงแสงธรรมชาติเข้าสู่ตัวอาคาร สร้างระยะห่างที่พอดีและเชื่อมมุมมองของคนสองรุ่นเข้าหากัน
- Circulation Hierarchy & Flexibility
แยก Circulation การเข้าถึงเป็น 2 ส่วนชัดเจน:
1. Private Access: เข้าผ่าน Court กลางบ้านสำหรับเจ้าของบ้าน
2. Public Access: เข้าผ่านสวนและระนาบน้ำด้านข้างสำหรับแขก นำสู่ Common Area แบบ Open Plan (รับแขก/ทานอาหาร/Show Kitchen) ที่เน้นความยืดหยุ่น (Flexibility) ในการใช้งาน โดยใช้บานเลื่อนกระจกเป็น Partition บริหารจัดการความเป็นส่วนตัวออกจากพื้นที่พักผ่อนหลัก
- Light & Materiality
ออกแบบ Skylight และระแนงไม้ในลักษณะ Double Skin เพื่อแก้ปัญหาการกันฝนและกรองความร้อน พร้อมสร้างมิติของแสงและเงา (Light & Shadow) ที่ตกกระทบลงบนผิวน้ำ เปลี่ยนแปลงไปตามช่วงเวลาของวัน
- Architectural Form
เน้นความเรียบง่าย (Minimalist) ลดทอนการตกแต่งที่ไม่จำเป็นเพื่อเผยสัจจะโครงสร้าง เลือกใช้วัสดุที่ดูแลง่าย (Low Maintenance) ให้ตัวสถาปัตยกรรมทำหน้าที่เป็นเพียง “ภาชนะ” (Container) ที่เรียบง่ายและซื่อตรงต่อการรองรับวิถีชีวิตผู้อยู่อาศัยอย่างแท้จริง
- Contextual Evolution
Driven by the dynamics of intergenerational living, the design integrates the new family's lifestyle with the existing context of the grandparents' residence. The spatial organization fosters connection while ensuring distinct privacy for the new expansion.
- The Arrival Court
A central courtyard acts as the primary "connector" between the old and new structures. Functioning as a private foyer and a light-filled green sanctuary, this interstitial space establishes a visual dialogue and optimal separation distance between the two generations.
- Circulation Hierarchy & Flexibility
Circulation is clearly defined by function:
1. Private Access: Via the internal courtyard for residents.
2. Public Access: Through the garden and reflecting pond for guests, leading to an open-plan Common Area (Living/Dining/Show Kitchen). This flexible space utilizes glass sliding partitions to manage privacy, allowing for a seamless transition between public gathering and private living modes.
- Light & Materiality
A skylight system paired with wooden battens forms a "double skin" to provide weather protection and heat filtration. This element orchestrates an interplay of light and shadow upon the water surface, creating a dynamic atmosphere that shifts with the time of day.
-Architectural Form
Adopting a minimalist approach, the design eliminates unnecessary ornamentation to reveal structural truth. Low maintenance materials are prioritized, allowing the architecture to serve as a humble, honest "container" that purely facilitates the residents' lifestyle.
