PN House is a single–storey vacation residence designed to accommodate group activities and social gatherings of no fewer than ten people within a limited site area. Despite the compact footprint, the design prioritizes spatial comfort, even under hot and humid tropical conditions and with a relatively high number of occupants.
The building is therefore developed as an open and airy structure to encourage natural ventilation. Large sliding glass openings are introduced, with the sliding tracks designed independently from the structural column grid. This allows the living area to be opened continuously along its full length, creating a flexible communal space that remains visually and physically connected to the surrounding outdoor environment.
Deep roof overhangs provide protection from strong sun and tropical rain, while helping to shade the interior spaces throughout the day. A swimming pool placed alongside the house further assists in cooling the microclimate, lowering the temperature of the air before it enters the building.
Together, these strategies respond to the tropical climate while creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere suitable for gathering and retreat.
