ร้าน ทิวา & รษา Thai Kitchen and Cafe
เป็นคาเฟ่และร้านอาหารไทยที่ตั้งใจรังสรรค์เมนูอาหารและขนมจากวัตถุดิบท้องถิ่นของไทย ตัวร้านตั้งอยู่ท่ามกลางต้นสักน้อยใหญ่ที่โอบล้อมอาคารไว้ มอบบรรยากาศที่เงียบสงบและเป็นธรรมชาติ
โปรเจกต์นี้เป็นหนึ่งในผลงานที่ทีม Truss Architects ได้รับโอกาสในการออกแบบ โดยปรับปรุงจากอาคารเดิมที่มีอยู่ โดยได้พูดคุยกับทีมเจ้าของร้านซึ่งมีแนวคิดร่วมกันว่าพื้นที่สีเขียวโดยรอบมีความงดงามและเป็นเอกลักษณ์ จึงตั้งใจเก็บรักษาธรรมชาติเหล่านั้นไว้ให้มากที่สุด
เนื่องจากอาคารเดิมมีลักษณะค่อนข้างทึบและมืด เราจึงออกแบบให้มีการเจาะช่องแสงบริเวณกลางอาคารในโซนคาเฟ่ เพื่อเปิดรับแสงธรรมชาติและเพิ่มความโปร่งสว่างภายใน พร้อมเลือกใช้กระจกใสเป็นวัสดุหลักในการเปิดมุมมองสู่ภายนอก
สำหรับการตกแต่งภายใน เราเลือกเก็บองค์ประกอบดั้งเดิมไว้บางส่วน เช่น เคาน์เตอร์และที่นั่งบางจุด โดยปรับวัสดุและโทนสีให้เป็นโต๊ะไม้สักเก่าและใช้สีโทนเข้ม เพื่อเพิ่มความสุขุม กลมกลืนกับบรรยากาศของการรับประทานอาหารและพักผ่อน

Tiva & Rasa Thai Kitchen and Cafe is a Thai café and restaurant that celebrates the use of local ingredients in both its food and desserts. Surrounded by mature teak trees, the space is naturally shaded and serene.
This project gave Truss Architects the opportunity to redesign and transform an existing building. After in-depth discussions with the owners, we agreed to preserve the site’s existing greenery, recognizing it as one of the location’s key assets.
Since the original structure was relatively dark and enclosed, we introduced a central skylight in the café zone to bring in natural light. Large clear-glass openings were also added to brighten the space and visually connect the interior with the outdoors.
For the interior, we retained selected elements from the original layout—such as parts of the seating and counter area—while incorporating aged teak wood and darker tones to create a calm, grounded atmosphere suitable for both dining and relaxation.
