Material contrast becomes the defining language of Sarnies X Pimp My Salad, where dark wood surfaces establish warmth and tactility while stainless steel and metal-clad walls preserve the building’s industrial character.

The existing large windows of the site play a key role in shaping the interior, creating layers of depth and allowing natural light to wash across the space, enhancing material textures and spatial clarity throughout the day.

Seating is oriented toward the windows, framing views toward Benchasiri Park, where the surrounding greenery becomes an extension of the interior, softening the architecture and enriching the spatial atmosphere.

Within HG Residence, the TV cabinet is envisioned not merely as a functional feature, but as a quiet anchor that grounds the room’s material narrative. The soft wooden cabinetry introduces warmth and refinement, its gentle grain and meticulous detailing forming a tactile counterpoint to the raw concrete wall behind it. This intentional contrast heightens the overall composition, allowing the cabinet’s softness to resonate against the rugged honesty of the concrete surface.

As the eye moves across the room, the interplay of materials unfolds as an architectural gesture in its own right. The raw concrete wall serves as a stabilizing backdrop, revealing the structural authenticity of the space, while the cabinet’s crafted timber brings a human-scaled warmth that subtly softens the atmosphere. Complementary textiles — from the billowing curtains to the muted fabric accents — further temper the visual weight, introducing a soft intermediary layer that mediates between the solidity of the architecture and the gentle tactility of the furnishings.

Within the pantry, a dedicated alcove is designed to house the client’s collection of alcohol and wine glasses, conceived not as simple storage but as a refined architectural vignette. Carefully proportioned shelves and recessed compartments frame the collection with balance, turning everyday items into a quiet spatial composition.

The green marble backsplash continues into this niche, its veining providing a rich, controlled backdrop that enhances the clarity of the glassware. Subtle linear lighting grazes the stone, highlighting its texture while casting a warm glow across the display.

Together, the curved wooden enclosure, expressive marble, and curated glassware give the pantry a dual identity—both functional workspace and intimate gallery.

A defining gesture of Peak House is the continuous timber ceiling that extends seamlessly from the exterior terraces through the interior living spaces, reinforcing the concept of inside–outside continuity. This unbroken plane of warm-toned wood becomes a unifying element, guiding the eye and body across thresholds without disruption. The seamless flow of material creates a calm, grounded rhythm that connects each space with a sense of cohesion.

By allowing the same architectural language to move from open-air areas into enclosed volumes, the design blurs conventional boundaries and establishes a spatial experience that feels both expansive and intimate. This continuity is further emphasized by the use of monolithic solid tables—crafted as singular, sculptural pieces that anchor the spaces. Their weight, material honesty, and grounded presence echo the home’s architectural integrity, reinforcing a sense of permanence and calm throughout the interior.

Its rich veining and deep green tones bring depth, opulence, and tactile contrast—defining focal moments across countertops, backsplashes, and feature walls. This vivid material forms a compelling dialogue with the lighter stonelike tiles and the warm undertones of brass and wood, creating harmony through contrast.

Brass, with its soft luster and golden warmth, lends a sense of quiet sophistication. Featured in hardware, lighting, and trim details, it subtly elevates the space without overpowering it. Its reflective qualities interact gently with both natural and ambient light, adding a luminous glow that enriches the atmosphere. Over time, the metal’s patina develops a lived-in character, enhancing the palette with depth and authenticity—capturing the residence’s essence of timeless modernity.

In the master bedroom, the design prioritizes tranquility and rest. The space embodies understated luxury through soft, organic textiles, handcrafted furniture, and a palette of calming earth tones.

Wood accents and linen drapery introduce warmth and texture, creating a serene atmosphere ideal for relaxation. Every detail is curated to foster comfort while maintaining a refined sense of sophistication.

The adjoining ensuite continues this calm narrative — clean lines, natural stone surfaces, and spa-like finishes blend seamlessly into a cohesive whole, reinforcing the home’s quiet elegance.

Tucked within a more secluded volume of the house, a bespoke pool table is situated beneath an attic-like, double-height ceiling, creating a distinct spatial moment within the retreat.

Unlike the expansive openness of the main pavilion, this area is defined by its verticality and a sense of quiet enclosure—a lofted space where light filters softly through clerestory windows and the timber ceiling rises into a pitched form.

While materially consistent with the rest of the house, this space departs in character—more introspective, almost loft-like in atmosphere—adding spatial variation to the otherwise horizontal composition of Peak House.

Framed by timber, filtered light, and generous volume, the pool table becomes a sculptural presence within a room designed for both solitude and connection.

Built within the newly extended volume of Peak House, the sauna is conceived as a quiet architectural insertion—minimal, linear, and precisely aligned with the swimming pool axis.

Clad entirely in pale pine timber, the space is treated as a sensory chamber, where material, proportion, and orientation converge to heighten spatial awareness. A full-height glazed elevation faces the pool, establishing a deliberate visual corridor that draws the eye outward and anchors the sauna within the greater site composition.

The juxtaposition of warm timber against the reflective surface of water reinforces the broader dialogue between heat and coolness, enclosure and openness, ritual and repose.

Operable glazing dissolves the threshold entirely, allowing the sauna to function in direct dialogue with the exterior—transforming a wellness amenity into an architectural moment of spatial and atmospheric clarity.

The design for Sarnies x Pimp My Salad interprets the tower’s curved boundary as a guiding gesture for the interior layout, offsetting its form to establish a seamless flow through the space.

Anchored in dark wood, the material palette conveys depth and natural warmth, while mustard-yellow accents introduce vibrancy and contrast, infusing the atmosphere with energy.

The interplay between tactile wood surfaces and stainless, metal-like walls creates a dialogue of texture and tone—balancing solidity and lightness, warmth and precision—ultimately forming a contemporary environment that celebrates the dialogue between form and material.

In contrast, marble introduces a refined counterpoint—its cool veining elevating the warmth of timber with timeless elegance.

Together, the two materials establish a spatial dialogue that is both grounded and elevated. The interplay of timber’s organic softness and marble’s sculptural permanence defines the architectural character of the residence, creating interiors that are at once intimate, refined, and enduring in their modernity.
