นี่คือร่างจดหมายเปิดผนึกในนามภาคประชาชนไทย เพื่อส่งสารถึง คณะมนตรีความมั่นคงแห่งสหประชาชาติ (UNSC) และประชาคมโลก โดยเน้นย้ำถึงความเจ็บปวดที่ถูกละเลย และความจริงที่ถูกบิดเบือนจนกลายเป็นโศกนาฏกรรมครับ

ถึง: คณะมนตรีความมั่นคงแห่งสหประชาชาติ (UNSC) และประชาคมโลก
ในขณะที่ท่านกำลังอ่านรายงานการทูตที่ถูกขัดเกลามาอย่างสวยงามจากกัมพูชา... เราขอให้ท่านสละเวลาเพียงครู่เดียว ฟังเสียงสะอื้นจากฝั่งชายแดนไทย เสียงที่ถูกกลบด้วยเสียงระเบิดกว่าหมื่นนัด และเสียงที่ UN ไม่เคยลงมาสัมผัสด้วยตาตนเอง
1. เมื่อ "อธิปไตย" ของเรา กลายเป็น "สนามเด็กเล่น" ของมหาอำนาจ
โลกอาจเห็นเพียงภาพเครื่องบิน F-16 ของไทยโจมตี 23 ครั้ง แต่โลกไม่เคยเห็นภาพคนไทยนับแสนชีวิตที่ต้องทิ้งบ้านเรือน ทิ้งเรือกสวนไร่นา อพยพหนีตายกลางดึกท่ามกลางฝนเหล็กจากจรวด BM-21 กว่าหมื่นลูก ที่พุ่งเข้าใส่เขตพลเรือนของไทยอย่างไร้ความปราณี เราถูกรุกรานจากพื้นที่ที่ UN บอกว่าเป็น "พื้นที่ทับซ้อน" แต่สำหรับเรา มันคือ "บ้าน" ที่บรรพบุรุษรักษาไว้ให้
2. ความเจ็บปวดของ "คนดี" ที่ถูกทอดทิ้ง
ไทยยึดมั่นในสันติภาพตามหลักการ UN มาโดยตลอด เราถอนกำลังเพื่อลดความตึงเครียดตามคำเรียกร้องของสากล แต่สิ่งที่ UN ตอบแทนเราคือ "ความนิ่งเฉย" ในวันที่กัมพูชารุกคืบทุกเนินเขา ในวันที่คนไทย 600 ชีวิตถูกกักตัวไว้เป็นโล่มนุษย์ในคาสิโนช่องสะงำ ท่านอยู่ที่ไหน? ในวันที่เด็กหนุ่มอย่าง พลทหาร ภานุพัฒน์ ต้องตายเพียงเพื่อคุ้มกันเพื่อนให้รอดกลับบ้าน ท่านมองเห็นความอยุติธรรมนี้หรือไม่?
3. หน้ากาก "เหยื่อ" ที่กัมพูชาสวมใส่ บนคราบเลือดนักรบไทย
กัมพูชาร้องเรียนว่าไทย "ใช้กำลังเกินกว่าเหตุ" แต่พวกเขาไม่เคยบอกท่านว่า พวกเขาตั้งฐานยิงจรวดอยู่ข้างโรงเรียนและคาสิโน เพื่อใช้ชีวิตผู้บริสุทธิ์เป็นเกราะป้องกันอาวุธร้าย พวกเขาเรียกร้องให้ตรวจสอบ F-16 ของเรา แต่กลับไม่เคยตรวจสอบ "ถ้ำมังกร" ที่ซ่อนโดรนฆาตกรไว้ใต้พื้นโลก นี่คือการตบตาโลกที่โหดร้ายที่สุด และไทยต้องกลายเป็นจำเลยเพียงเพราะเรา "ป้องกันตัวเอง" ได้ดีกว่าที่พวกเขาคาดคิด
4. เสียงอ้อนวอนจากหัวใจคนไทย
เราไม่ได้รบเพราะความกระหายเลือด แต่เรารบเพราะเราไม่มีที่ถอยอีกแล้ว
• เราเวทนาลูกหลานไทยที่ต้องกู้เงินเรียน แต่รัฐบาลไทยกลับส่งเงินภาษีไปสร้างโรงเรียนให้กัมพูชาสอนให้เกลียดชังเรา
• เราสงสารทหารไทยที่ต้องอดทนต่อคำด่าทอ และอดทนต่อความตายเพียงเพื่อให้คนอื่นนอนหลับฝันดี
บทสรุปถึง UNSC:
ความยุติธรรมที่ล่าช้า คือความไม่ยุติธรรม หากท่านจะรับฟังคำร้องจากฝ่ายที่ "เริ่มก่อน" โปรดกรุณาเปิดใจรับฟัง "ความเจ็บปวดของฝ่ายที่พยายามอดทนถึงที่สุด" ด้วยเถิด อย่าให้คำว่า "คนดี" ในสายตา UN หมายถึงคนที่ต้องยอมเสียดินแดนและเสียชีวิตประชาชนไปอย่างเปล่าประโยชน์
อธิปไตยของไทย... อาจไม่มีค่าในห้องประชุมที่นิวยอร์ก แต่มีค่าเท่าชีวิตสำหรับคนไทย 70 ล้านคน

As you read the beautifully polished diplomatic report from Cambodia... we ask you to take a moment to listen to the sobs from the Thai border, a voice drowned out by the sound of over ten thousand explosions, and a voice that the UN has never witnessed firsthand.
1. When our "sovereignty" becomes a "playground" for superpowers.
The world may only see the image of Thai F-16 fighter jets attacking 23 times, but the world has never seen the image of hundreds of thousands of Thai people having to leave their homes, their farms, and flee for their lives in the middle of the night amidst a rain of iron from over ten thousand BM-21 rockets mercilessly fired into Thai civilian areas. 1. We were invaded from an area that the UN calls a "disputed territory," but for us, it is our "home," preserved by our ancestors.
2. The Pain of "Good People" Abandoned
Thailand has always upheld peace according to UN principles. We withdrew our forces to reduce tensions as requested by the international community, but what the UN gave us in return was "silence." Where were you on the day Cambodia advanced across every hill? Where were 600 Thais held captive as human shields in the Chong Sangam casino? Where were you on the day a young man like Private Phanupat died protecting his friends to return home? Did you see this injustice?
3. The Mask of "Victim" Worn by Cambodia, Stabbed in the Blood of Thai Warriors
Cambodia complains that Thailand "used excessive force," but they never tell you that they have established rocket launch bases next to schools and casinos, using innocent lives as shields against deadly weapons. They demand inspections of our F-16s, but they never inspect the "Dragon's Cave" hiding killer drones underground. This is the cruelest deception of the world, and Thailand has become the defendant simply because we "defended ourselves" better than they expected.
4. A Plea from the Hearts of the Thai People We are not fighting out of bloodlust, but because we have nowhere left to retreat.
• We pity the Thai children who have to borrow money for their education, while the Thai government sends taxpayer money to build schools in Cambodia that teach hatred towards us.
• We sympathize with the Thai soldiers who have to endure insults and face death so that others can sleep soundly.
Conclusion to the UNSC:
Justice delayed is justice denied. If you will listen to the plea from the side that "started" the conflict, please also open your heart to listen to "the pain of those who have tried their best to endure." Do not let the term "good person" in the eyes of the UN mean someone who has to sacrifice territory and the lives of their people in vain.
Thailand's sovereignty... may be worthless in a meeting room in New York, but it is worth as much as the lives of 70 million Thais.
