Stunning Aeon Yachts 460
In a further development of their unique design language, Scaro Design of Istanbul has released details of their new 46 meter motor yacht the Aeon 460 for Aeon Yachts. The 460’s DNA has its roots in Scaro’s iconic, multiple award-winning Peri Yachts 41t, 37 and 29 meter series. As in all of the studio’s projects, owner and design director Selcuk Kocak, focused first on the architecture, the key style and aesthetic elements. From the bold bow, the lines flow aft and create a smooth brutally aggressive, yet refined profile which is going to be a head turner in whatever port she enters. The volumes are broad, muscular and loaded with energy, projecting a commanding presence.
Depending on the accommodation plan selected, the yacht will sleep 10 or 12 in the owner’s party, including an optional full-beam master on the upper deck. The optional master or the skylounge can be completely opened to the upper deck flybridge, with forward and aft outdoor seating, sun bathing areas, the main deck saloon/dining area and an aft beach club, there is no lack of social space to balance the private staterooms.
Entertainment, security and internal environmental control are integrated in a central automation system and all internal spaces can be programmed to suit individual needs and desires.
Engineered epoxy composite construction ensures a strong, lightweight structure that will cruise at over 18 knots. The highly efficient hull is driven by an optional diesel-electric propulsion system utilizing rotatable pods, making the vessel extremely maneuverable, even at low speeds. Utilizing pods, which contain the electric drive motors, means there are no shafts penetrating the hull, thereby reducing noise and vibration. These innovations in design and technology result in less energy used to drive the vessel, greater comfort and considerably less internal space used for machinery in comparison to conventional propulsion systems.
