The convergence of work and social life experience: a ‘public layer’ for next-generation working modes.

The project area is envisioned as an open space focused on social interaction that supports next-generation work experiences. The terrace design approach aims to create a public-private threshold between the city and the building. It serves as a welcoming and waiting area for visitors, a tranquil and porous landscape for employees’ daily use, and a flexible public layer suitable for corporate events.

Beyond being just an aesthetic outdoor design, this terrace serves as a spatial interface that fosters interaction, socialization, and increased productivity among employees.

NEF Gölköy, Bodrum

Located in Bodrum Gölköy, surrounded by the unique nature of the Aegean, the Nef Gölköy project embraces a sustainable landscape approach by preserving the region’s natural character and integrating with the existing ecosystem.

The project has been designed with a respectful approach to the local ecosystem. The existing vegetation has been preserved, and the native flora and fauna have been supported.

A human-centered approach has been adopted in the landscape design. Walking paths, resting areas, and natural shaded spaces have been created to offer a comfortable outdoor experience. Additionally, accessible piers and relaxation areas have been designed along the coastline to enhance interaction with the water.

The Nef Gölköy landscape project aims to provide a peaceful living environment by respecting Bodrum’s natural and cultural fabric while prioritizing the interaction between people and nature. A design approach sensitive to the region has been embraced, creating a living space that integrates with nature while maintaining ecological balance.

At the core of this project lies a key question: “Do industrial development and a quality environment have to be in opposition to each other? “

Our approach proves that they can, in fact, coexist harmoniously through thoughtful design and sustainability-driven solutions.

This project is driven by three core principles:

1. Designed Circulation System: A well-planned circulation system optimizes movement, ensuring smooth transitions between workspaces, industrial areas, and social spaces. This design reduces congestion and enhances the efficiency of both workers and visitors.

2. Green Infrastructure: We have integrated green infrastructure into landscape design.Green infrastructure offers numerous benefits, particularly in industrial environment such as improved air quality, reduction of urban heat island effect, biodiversity enhancement, stormwater management,etc.

3. Social Places: We believe in creating spaces where people can connect. Our design includes vibrant social hubs, from outdoor lounges to terraces, where employees can relax, collaborate, and recharge during their day.

By implementing these strategies, industrial development areas can coexist with a quality environment, creating a sustainable and livable urban environment for all.

In our latest elementary school project, we’ve reimagined the landscape as a dynamic playground, where every corner invites curiosity and adventure.

Instead of traditional play structures, we’ve integrated natural elements like gentle hills, interactive water features, and green nooks. These spaces encourage students to explore, learn, and grow through play—fostering both physical activity and creativity.

This isn’t just a playground; it’s a landscape designed to nurture young minds, bodies, and spirits, making the outdoors an integral part of the learning experience.

Bir oyun alanı olarak peyzaj

Son çalıştığımız okul projemizde, çevreyi her köşesinin merak ve maceraya davet ettiği dinamik bir oyun alanı olarak yeniden hayal ettik.

Geleneksel oyun yapıları yerine yumuşak tepeler, etkileşimli su yüzeyleri ve yeşil köşeler gibi doğal unsurları proje alanına entegre ettik. Bu alanlar öğrencileri oyun yoluyla keşfetmeye, öğrenmeye ve büyümeye teşvik ederek hem fiziksel aktiviteyi hem de yaratıcılığı geliştirmeye olanak sağlar.

Burası sadece bir oyun alanı değil; genç beyinleri, bedenleri ve ruhları beslemek için tasarlanmış, açık havayı öğrenme deneyiminin ayrılmaz bir parçası haline getiren bir peyzajdır.

Sıcaklıkların kentsel alanlarda daha fazla hissedilir olması, kentsel ısı adası etkisini gündeme getiriyor.

Kentsel ısı adası etkisi ve iklim değişikliği etkilerine karşı yeşil altyapı sistemlerini kullanarak daha dirençli kentsel alanlar yaratabilmek mümkün olabilir.
