Istanbul based architecture studio, operating under the direction of Ali Derya Dostoğlu and Uğur ?

We are an innovative group of architects, focusing on quality-designed environments. We, so far, gained experience in multiple scales of design from master planning to interiors. Architectural design is to us a systematic way of thinking engaging with its surrounding and working in harmony from planning to detail. We are involved in the on going development of contemporary architecture theories, a

nd apply the same thinking in our design process. We believe in the collaboration between multiple disciplines and stakeholders. Architectural design for us is defined as a process between these multiple partners, and excellence can be achieved from the collaboration between designer, client, constructor and other disciplines involved. Research in that sense, is not a separable part of the design process. It helps to push the boundaries of current construction industry for creating innovative architectural forms, and alongside streamlines design and construction process and create new efficiencies and cost savings. Our manner of work is the constant development of architectural design in a systematic approach; combining multiple scales and conditions with cutting edge technology and economical efficiency.

Tayyare Kültür Merkezi’nde kafe ve kütüphane olarak yeniden işlevlendirdiğimiz kokteyl salonunda, özgün malzeme dili korunarak ceviz kitaplıklar, mermer yüzeyler ve pirinç detaylı mobilyalarla kütüphane ve kafe kullanımını destekleyen sıcak ve bütüncül bir atmosfer oluşturuldu.

In the cocktail lounge of the Tayyare Cultural Center, which we repurposed as a café and library, a warm and cohesive atmosphere supporting both functions was created by preserving the original material language and incorporating walnut bookshelves, marble surfaces, and furniture with brass details.

Bir diğer güzel haber de Arazi'den geliyor! Arazi projemiz , BIG SEE Architecture Award 2026'da "Turizm Yapıları" kategorisinde ödüle layık görüldü.

Ayvacık yamaçlarında, Assos yakınındaki doğal topografyaya yerleşen Arazi; otel, bungalovlar, kamp alanı ve ses stüdyosu gibi işlevleri ana bir aks boyunca kurgulayarak ortak yaşamı destekleyen bütüncül bir kırsal yerleşim öneriyor. Yerel malzemeler ile çağdaş yapım tekniklerini bir araya getiren proje, peyzajla uyumlu ve sürdürülebilir bir mimari dil benimsiyor.

Another piece of great news comes from Arazi! Our Arazi project has been awarded in the “Tourism Buildings” category at the BIG SEE Architecture Award 2026.

The site, situated on the slopes of Ayvacık near Assos and integrated into the natural topography, proposes a holistic rural settlement that supports communal living by organizing functions such as a hotel, bungalows, camping areas, and a sound studio along a main axis. Combining local materials with contemporary construction techniques, the project adopts an architectural language that is harmonious with the landscape and grounded in sustainability.

Ormos Tartışık Kuzey Etabı projemiz, BIG SEE Architecture Award 2026 kapsamında “Konut” kategorisinde ödüle layık görüldü.

Projede doğal taş ve sıvanın birlikte oluşturduğu yalın malzeme diliyle eğime yerleşen kütleler, peyzajla bütünleşiyor. Farklı kotlarda konumlanan yerleşim sayesinde tüm birimler manzarayla güçlü ve kesintisiz bir ilişki kuruyor.

Our Ormos Tartışık North Phase project was awarded in the “Residential – Housing” category at the BIG SEE Architecture Award 2026.

In the project, masses placed along the slope are integrated into the landscape through a restrained material palette of natural stone and plaster. The settlement, organized across different levels, enables all units to maintain a strong and uninterrupted relationship with the view.

Çaycuma Organize Sanayi Bölgesi’nde yer alan Mod Offshore Fabrika projesi, mevcut fabrika yapısını koruyarak ofis işlevine dönüştürürken arka yönde eklenen yeni üretim hacimleriyle genişleyen bütüncül bir endüstri kurgusu sunar. Yapıyı saran yarı geçirgen alüminyum kabuk ve içinde konumlanan “Hangar” ile farklı müdahaleler tek bir mimari dil altında birleşirken, mekânsal süreklilik ve iklimsel kontrol birlikte sağlanır.

Located in the Çaycuma Organized Industrial Zone, the Mod Offshore Factory project presents a comprehensive industrial design that expands by converting the existing factory structure into office space while adding new production spaces at the rear. The semi-permeable aluminum shell enveloping the structure and the “Hangar” situated within it bring together diverse interventions under a single architectural language, ensuring both spatial continuity and climate control.

Tayyare Kültür Merkezi’nde kafe ve kütüphane olarak yeniden işlevlendirdiğimiz kokteyl salonunda, bankonun gerisindeki sıva soyularak özgün duvar örgüsü ortaya çıkarılmış, alçıpan asma tavan kaldırılarak tavan yüksekliği ve betonarme kirişler görünür kılınmıştır.

At the cocktail hall within the Tayyare Cultural Center, which we have repurposed as a café and library, the plaster behind the counter has been stripped away to reveal the original wall masonry, and the suspended gypsum board ceiling has been removed to expose the full ceiling height and the reinforced concrete beams.

Ormos Tartışık Kuzey Etabı’nda kütle hareketleri işlevle uyumlu şekilde kurgulanmış olup taş ve sıva ayrımı bu hareketleri daha belirgin hale getirerek cephede derinlik ve dinamizm oluşturur.

In the Ormos Tartışık North Phase, massing is organized in alignment with function, while the distinction between stone and plaster further emphasizes these movements, creating depth and dynamism on the façade.

Tayyare Kültür Merkezi’nde kafe ve kütüphane olarak yeniden işlevlendirdiğimiz kokteyl salonunda, mermer banko ve kafe masaları, pirinç renkli masa ayakları ve duvar aplikleri, doğal ceviz kaplama ile MDF lamın birlikte kullanıldığı kitaplık ve çalışma tezgahı gibi unsurlar bir arada kullanılmıştır. Bankonun gerisindeki sıva soyularak özgün duvar örgüsü ortaya çıkarılmış, alçıpan asma tavan kaldırılarak tavan yüksekliği ve betonarme kirişler görünür kılınmıştır.

In the cocktail hall of the Tayyare Cultural Center, which we repurposed as a café and library, elements such as a marble counter and café tables with brass-colored legs, wall sconces, and bookshelves and work tables combining natural walnut veneer with MDF laminate have been used together. The plaster behind the counter was removed to reveal the original masonry, and the drywall suspended ceiling was taken down to expose the ceiling height and reinforced concrete beams.

Per Se kurucu ortakları Ali Derya Dostoğlu ve Uğur Özer, İstanbul Serbest Mimarlar Derneği’nin “I2P - Idea To Product” projesi kapsamında, MEF FADA bünyesindeki Ham (Raw) başlıklı derslerini, 2026 Bahar Dönemi’nde de sürdürüyor. Ders, mimarlık öğrencilerinin temel malzeme bilgilerini geliştirmeyi ve endüstri ile akademi arasındaki bağı güçlendirmeyi amaçlıyor. Daha önce İMÇ'de hayata geçen mekansal düzenlemeler, bu kez Çanakkale Ayvacık'ta Tartışık Köyü'nde, aynı şekilde Yenice'de Nevruz Köyü'nde yer bulacak.

The founders of Per Se, Ali Derya Dostoğlu and Uğur Özer, are continuing their RAW (Ham) course at MEF FADA in the Spring 2026 semester, as part of the Istanbul Association of Architects in Private Practice "I2P – Idea To Product” project. The course aims to enhance architecture students’ fundamental knowledge of materials and strengthen the connection between industry and academia. The spatial arrangements previously realized at İMÇ will this time be implemented in Tartışık Village in Ayvacık, Çanakkale, and similarly in Nevruz Village in Yenice.

1932 yılında Türk Hava Kurumu tarafından inşa ettirilen ve Arif Hikmet Koyunoğlu tarafından tasarlanan Tayyare Kültür Merkezi’nde kafe ve kütüphane olarak yeniden işlevlendirdiğimiz alan, yapının mevcut malzeme paletini koruyarak mekanın özgün karakterini açığa çıkarmayı temel alan bir tasarım anlayışı benimsemektedir.

The space we have adaptively reused as a café and library within the Tayyare Cultural Center—commissioned in 1932 by the Turkish Aeronautical Association and designed by Arif Hikmet Koyunoğlu—adopts a design approach that preserves the existing material palette while aiming to reveal the space’s original character.

Ormos Tartışık Kuzey Etabı’nda, hem apartman bloğunda hem de tek katlı konutlarda kullanılan yerel doğal taş kaplama cepheler, dış mekâna dokusal bir zenginlik katarken yapıların köyün özgün karakteriyle uyumlu bir bütünlük oluşturmasını sağlamaktadır.

In the Northern Phase of Ormos Tartışık, the use of locally sourced natural stone cladding on both apartment blocks and single-story houses adds a rich texture to the exterior spaces, while ensuring that the buildings form a harmonious whole with the village’s authentic character.

Bağdat Branş Hastanesi ve Otel Kompleksi’nde otel yapısının cephesi; şeffaf yüzeyler, balkonlar ve teraslar yoluyla yapı ile nehir ve kent arasında güçlü bir görsel ilişki kurulmasını sağlamaktadır.

The façade of the hotel structure in the Baghdad Branch Hospital and Hotel Complex establishes a strong visual relationship between the building, the river, and the city through transparent surfaces, balconies, and terraces.
