Why steel?

For the Lengijave project, every material choice was driven by the site itself.

Perched atop a hill, the home is exposed to strong, consistent winds. Steel provided the strength and resilience needed to withstand these conditions while allowing for slender structural elements that preserve uninterrupted views.

Elevated steel posts also minimized disturbance to the natural terrain, reducing the building's footprint and allowing the architecture to sit lightly within the landscape.
