𝗢𝗻 𝟱 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼. 𝗟𝘁𝗱 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗹𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗼𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗥𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝘀 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗮𝗺 — planting between 600 and 750 indigenous trees along 3 kilometres of one of the city's busiest roads.

Why this road? Because Nelson Mandela Road passes through the port zone — one of the most environmentally stressed corridors in the city. Hundreds of trucks idle here every day. The heat, the dust, the exhaust — it affects every worker, driver, and resident in that area. Trees won't solve everything. But they will make a real, measurable difference.

In Tanzania, its wood is used for timber, furniture, boats, tool handles, and even traditional medicine — and it's an important source of bee forage.
