FYI if you text me asking me to replace a tankless water heater the same day and I tell you I can’t then you ask me for a rough cost. Sorry but I’m not going to give you a price that way. There are too many variables when it comes to replacing a tankless heater that’s located inside a house.
1. I may shoot myself in the foot or give you too high of a price. That’s not good for either one of us.
2. There may be more work to be done that I wouldn’t know about without looking at the job first.

Some jobs come full circle. 15 years ago I took out two tank water heaters in this house to install two new tankless water heaters. Recently this unit started giving them some trouble. It was throwing a code 10. I had a good indication of what the problem was when I first looked it last week. Once we started removing everything today we found the problem. The concentric pipe was full of dirt dauber and wasp nests. Hopefully the new exhaust won’t get taken over by wasp and dirt daubers. This homeowner is back in business with a new RX160i tankless water heater, new isolation valves, new gas shut off valve and pan. ‼️ #37

Wow what a job this one was. This one spanned over the course of three weeks combined. We had to run gas piping for two gas tankless water heaters. The gas line was roughly 90 feet long. We took out two tank type water heaters and replaced them tankless water heaters. One of the units was relocated from the laundry room to a finished attic space above. It spanned over the course of three weeks due to working with the propane company setting a new tank and me working around other jobs that were coming in. We got it done though. I could not have gotten it done without my buddy stepping in to help me knock this one out. This customer has been wanting to do this for many years now. Once one of those old tank water heaters went out it gave them to perfect opportunity to upgrade to tankless.

This morning (hot morning) I had to replace this 10 year old tankless water heater due to lack of maintenance, the heat exchanger overheating and the heat exchanger failing and leaking. I had shade for about an hour then the only shade I had was from my umbrella. Boy it’s been hot here in North MS. This dude is ready for some cooler weather to work in. #28

Have you ever had to glue one of these back into place? Thats a towel bar in a fiberglass tub shower unit. I’ve seen these leak many times before. Water was showing up on a light fixture below. I advised the homeowner that this unit should be replaced. For now I was able to get the towel bar glued back into place with some silicone.
