We began remodeling our kitchen two weeks ago. We started with butcher block counter tops, subway tile, and a farmhouse sink. We then painted the cabinets in alabaster and the walls in agreeable gray. Check out the transformation!

The master bathroom in our home was in need of some care! The project that should have taken 10-12 days turned into a year. I had gotten the bathroom cleared. We had the lines set and we had gotten the tub and the walls up. We were ready to tile when I had to stop to focus on my principal certification course. In September of 2019 we found out, after the sewer line began to back up, that the sewer line beneath the house had settled and was not draining. It turned out to be a blessing that I stopped when we did. After working through insurance and finally running the line outside the house we however in running the new line they had to tear up the floor the master bathroom. We took the walls and tub out and we’re back to the suds. When we continued in May of 2020 we were able to finally complete the project 1 year after we started. I am pleased with the finish and amazed with my wife’s patience. In the middle of all of it we also add a daughter to the LaFrance family. As crazy the past year has been it was filled with blessings!

While the summer was filled with projects, I was able to build a few things around the house.

This summer provided many opportunities to work with my friends and learn new skills. I spent most of the summer building a pole barn with my friend Shiloh Posey, in the process I learned a bit more about framing and sharpened my welding skills
