Five mixers on one job site, not something you see very often. This was during a 600 yard pour for the new DeValles Elementary School, coming soon to New Bedford's South End. Is it too much of a stretch to say we play just as vital a role in molding young minds as teachers do?

Try having your 20,000 gallon hot water heater fail…ouch.

For Sale, our Mixer #20, first person through the door with $25,000 takes it.

On paper it's a 1995 Advance, but it was glidered in 2011 by Phoenix of Indiana. 70% of the mixer was new at that point.

The rubber is 80%. The engine was in chassis rebuilt 2 years ago. The transmission was rebuilt in 2023 by Camerota. It has not worked hard the past 5 years.

The downsides are the engine is a Cummins L10, so not a lot of horse power. That lack of power is why the truck is still in such good shape. It can't be driven hard.

This truck is perfect in a "spare" roll. That's what it's been doing for us the past few years. I think it's days of working 5 days a week are over.

Please do not contact us and offer less than the advertised price. The rubber alone is worth $7,500. The transmission $5,000. You get the idea. We can park it outside and part it up, but I don't think this truck should be sent to the boneyard yet.

It still has plenty of good service left in it.

When L&S gets a new loader, it's a big deal here. We take great care of our equipment, especially the loaders. Every yard of concrete we produce comes out of the bucket of this machine, so to say it's a crucial component is an understatement. We get a new one only about every 25 years.

This pretty little thing made us fall in love the moment it was delivered. We won't tell you how much it cost, we'll make you google that if you're that curious. Worth every penny. When it comes to heavy equipment it's Cat and everyone else is a distant second. And we are NOT going to apologize to you Volvo, Deere, and Komatsu fans for that statement.

It's impossible for us to get the whole gang together in one photo, with the garage/office 3 miles away from the plant. This is about a third of us. The rest are either delivering mix, on vacation, or social media shy.

Yes we color coordinated just for the photos. Hope you like High Viz green.

Some people know how to break out of hibernation in spectacular style.

January at a concrete company is always slow at the plant. Too cold and nasty to pour concrete outside. But it's the busiest time of year in the shop.

This is what's left of one of our shiniest mixers, #10. Tomorrow it will be driven to central New York where it will have its frame replaced. 26 years of carrying 20 tons on its back has worn it out. When it returns in a month we'll put everything back on.

That's Russ Poliquin and Rambo Ferreira finishing up the prep work. Think of Rambo tomorrow while he's bouncing around in the cab during the ride out lol. A truck designed to weigh 80,000 pounds when loaded is not going to feel like sitting on a pillow when stripped down to just over 20,000 pounds. More like a pi**ed off rodeo bull.

This is the brand new #37 today about to leave the Acushnet yard.

Sean Burns is driving and said "Why bother taking my picture? We're all so bundled up with this frigid weather".
