...and I'm NOT 100% positive, but I THINK this may be an egg sac??? We moved it to safety and put a cage around it to protect it through winter.

This is why we keep removing the joros...for these gals and their spider friends. 🕷🕸🕷🕸

Looking for a native shrub that makes a statement and supports wildlife? Meet buttonbush (Cephalanthus occidentalis)!
Its summer blooms draw bees and butterflies, and it’s a beautiful choice for rain gardens, pond edges, depression areas, and other moist spots. Plant this fall to give roots time to establish before spring growth. 🌿
Available now: 1-gallon plants around 1½ feet tall and 3-gallon plants around 4 feet tall. We’re in Acworth, GA, by appointment. Send us a message to pick yours up!

The nursery is putting on its fall show! 🍁
Golden asters, goldenrod, obedient plant, beautyberry, and more are bringing color to the garden—and the pollinators are finding them. I spotted this Gulf fritillary while walking through today. 🦋

Good morning gardening friends!

It feels like fall outside! This is the time of year for planting to enable roots to settle in before they go dormant, which means stronger growth next year!

A little blue for the butterflies passing through!

When many summer flowers are winding down, blue mistflower (Conoclinium coelestinum) is putting on its show. Its fluffy blue blooms offer nectar for late-season butterflies—including monarchs on the move—as well as our native bees.

This Georgia native perennial is lovely in a pollinator garden, especially where it has room to spread. Give it sun to part shade and soil that stays average to moist.

Want to add some fall color and help feed the visitors flying through? Come get some mistflower! 🤗

Message This Enchanted Garden to ask about blue mistflower and make an appointment to visit us in Acworth! 🤗🤗🤗

🍂 Fall is the BEST time to plant native trees and shrubs!

Cooler temperatures mean less stress on new plants, while the soil remains warm enough for roots to establish before winter. You’ll also spend less time watering than you would during our Georgia summer heat!

We currently have a wonderful selection of native trees and shrubs, including Buttonbush, Ninebark, American Beautyberry, American Hazelnut, Ohio Buckeye, Sweetbay Magnolia, Serviceberry, Red Buckeye, Pawpaw, Spicebush, Arrowwood Viburnum and more.

The nursery is buzzing with life! 🐛🦋
Late-season natives are feeding pollinators while our spicebush caterpillars quietly prepare for their incredible transformation. This is why we plant native—not simply for beautiful flowers, but for everything that happens because they’re here.

Which of these would you add to your pollinator garden?
