Lets go back in time to may of 2022. Me and mom get out in my yard to do some routine maintenance, fight weeds, yada yada. We notice that the tallest tree on my property that happened to be a pine tree was the only tree to not needle out. So we called a few tree services. Out of everyone that even bothered to come out, J was the nicest, showed the most knowledge, and showed that he actually wanted the work. They were not the cheapest, so if your only concern is price, please go elsewhere.After I showed J the tree I was concerned about, he started talking about all the other trees immediately near it. How some of them needed this or that, which ones would die and fall eventually, and so on. So I decided to walk him around my 1.1 acre plot and see what his opinion of a certain oak tree that was leaning towards my house was. He recommended cutting it down as well citing it was hollow inside (he turned out to be correct here). This particular tree was near the back line of my property. When we got done talking about this particular oak he started looking around at every tree he could see, which was a bunch. He pointed at one kinda halfway to the front of my property, just over the property line. This tree was another big pine and was just a couple feet on my neighbors property. He said it was going to fall on my house.He ended up giving me individual quotes for all three trees, but recommended I pay for the "all day" rate. Basically he would bring his whole crew out and they would get done as much as they could in one day (this ended up being a great deal even though its pricey). After he left I took a few days to decide what to do, called him a few days later and scheduled his crew to come out in a little over a month for the all day rate he had recommended.Later that week, about 1.5 weeks after he said it, that last big pine on my neighbors property he pointed out, fell on my house. No storm, no wind, no rain. Just a rotten tree.I ended up bringing them back out again here recently in august of 2026. They are still great guys to have do your work. They work hard, work long hours, and overall know what they are doing.I cant recommend them enough.I said this earlier and I will say it again. Their price wasn't the cheapest, but that really shouldn't matter. If you want the best, call these guys out. If you don't want the best, call someone else.

I had a very large project to be done. A total of 67 stumps to be ground, and 45 trees to be cut down. I ended up getting 8 quotes from multiple companies, large and small. I had by far the best estimating experience and visit from Jesus. The work that was performed by Jesus and his crew was incredible. They were respectful of our property, kind to my family, and worked like absolute machines! I would not hesitate to hire again!

The neighborhood had a tree removed at our corner(looked like good timing). I was not involved with pricing but the removal process went very smooth and the area was cleaned up very quickly.

Jesus, the owner, gave me my quote and was very respectful and pleasant to deal with and he was very knowledgeable. They were very reasonable with pricing and the crew was great. They worked hard, were skilled, cleaned up great, and were respectful.The whole team also communicated very well through the process.

Highly recommend J’s Woodpecker. I’ve heard horror stories of people being charged over $3,000 for difficult jobs but J’s did 2 difficult tree-removals (leaning towards my house) + a difficult pruning job (40 feet up, hanging over a porch) for under $1,000.They arrived on time, finished the job, and cleaned up in under 2 hours. The price I paid never changed from what they quoted me.Best of all, the crew was friendly and communicative, and checked in routinely to make sure I was satisfied.Best crew in the Marietta / Roswell / Woodstock area!

J’s Woodpecker Tree Service did an outstanding job removing four trees from my property, all of which were located very close to my house and other obstacles. The team handled the work with impressive skill and care, making what could have been a stressful job look easy.Not only did they safely remove the trees, but they also did a thorough job cleaning up afterward—my yard looked great when they finished. I especially appreciated that they went the extra mile and reinstalled a section of fence that I had taken down the night before so they could access the backyard with their equipment.Everyone I interacted with was friendly, professional, and easy to work with. There was one small issue during the process where a drain line I had installed the day before was accidentally crushed. However, they responded quickly, came back out to fix it, and even covered the cost of the replacement parts.Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with their work and would highly recommend J’s Woodpecker Tree Service to anyone needing tree removal done safely and professionally.

We just had an amazing experience with Jesus and his company. We desperately needed our overgrown oak tree that sits directly in front of our home trimmed. We had limbs growing over our roof and it was getting dangerous. I reached out to them for a quote and they responded immediately. They came out and gave us a few options and quotes. The quotes were very reasonable and fair. When we made the decision to go ahead with the work, they once again responded immediately and offered a time the very next day.The next day, Jesus and crew arrived and let us know they were here to start the job. Let me tell you, they were extremely professional, courteous and were incredible to watch them work their magic! To say we were impressed is an understatement. Jesus jumped right in with his team and did some work as well. He also was on site the entire time. After the work was completed, they cleaned up the yard and left it better than when they arrived.We highly recommend Jesus and his company for any tree service you may need. They also do yard clean up and we will be using them again next week to clear out the overgrowth in our backyard.

Repeat customer for years. Love everything about Jesus and his employees. (Office ladies, too!)They are so kind, honest, efficient, professional, reasonably priced and looking to achieve customer satisfaction every time. That's what I look for in a great company to add to my business contacts. They have removed massive trees to smaller ones and always have done exceptional jobs. Recommend for any and all size tree jobs!

Wow! I am so incredibly impressed. To say that J's Woodpecker Tree Service exceeded our expectations would be an understatement. Both my husband and I were blown away by everything they did. Perfection!!It's a challenge to find qualified contractors these days, but folks, these guys are simply ourstanding at what they do, from start to finish!!First - quick response time. They called me back within minutes of my initial request for a quote and the owner came out within a couple days. Quote price was reasonable.Second - He LISTENED! He HEARD everything I said and made suggestions which resulted in us getting exactly what we wanted, and then some. This guy knows his stuff. Very knowledgeable, and personable too!Third - he and his crew run like a well-oiled machine. When they get started, they run full-throttle all day long, except for a much-deserved 1-hour lunch break. They started at 8am and didn't leave until 7:30pm. I was exhausted just watching them!! 😄Fourth - Our job was not an easy one. We had 20 trees removed and stumps ground above a stone terraced wall. We also had three large trees next to our house that we're leaning towards our patio and house. And finally there were trees around my husband's "Man Cabin," one of which was about six inches from the corner of the cabin, and another tree was a few feet from our power line. No damage whatsoever. Didn't even have to call the power company to cut off the power!Fifth - They cleaned up after themselves. I mean like, REALLY cleaned up - it was better than before they came!!! From behind the house to the road at the end of our very long driveway, spotless. You wouldn't even be able to tell that work had just been done.Sixth - Communication was excellent throughout. Work ethic - off the charts!!Several people recommended them on Nextdoor - NOT my favorite place to find contractors - but I looked up his reviews on Google maps and decided to contact him. Am I glad I did!! If you're considering hiring J's Woodpecker Tree Service, DO IT!! Don't hesitate! You'll be exceptionally pleased, as we are!! I wish I could give them 10 stars!!!!
