So here is the story… Cause i usually don’t use Rheem Water Heaters.

Rheem tech support reached out to me about a disgruntled customer, and asked if i would help them out. He just had a new Rheem heat pump water heater installed less than 6 months ago.

As of the last couple of months, it has tripped his breaker every day. He has to go down and reset the breaker and wait an hour to get hot water again. Rheem threw a bunch of parts at it that the home owner changed himself.

After the run around that tech support had with their “Rheem certified installers”, none of them would come out and help this guy. The problem got so bad, he was calling tech support everyday. You can imagine how you would feel if you couldn’t take a hot shower.

So they called me last Thursday, and today we got it done for the home owner.

No more tripped breakers, just nice hot water!

Another 2 jobs i got to do today!

Job 1: clogged drain line

Job 2: AC not keeping up

If i could do this everyday, i would be in heaven! I love service work more than installs any day of the week.

Showed up because the system was not working since the last company came and looked at it.

Let’s just say someone had a moment with the disconnect lol

Turned into a cleaning and a charge check.

A 3 zone mini split replacement done in 2 days!

The old one was leaking, so the customer just wanted a new one instead of putting money into fixing it.

I had spent the last 2 weeks in a 120 degree attic, so needless to say i wasn’t in the mood to record videos 😂

But, I got to spend today doing my favorite thing! SERVICE CALLS!

This is a tough one!

I have spent the last week taking out the old air handler system and putting in a new system consisting of a cased coil and blower module. We had to go that route because of the attic opening and limited space up there.

Attention to detail is key on this one!

Another regular scheduled maintenance call!

Customer wanted me to come clean and check over their system. No complaints on the customers end, house was a cool 72 when i arrived.

The condenser was kinda loud at first but it ended up sounding better after the cleaning.

I did forget to record myself checking the charge, but it was pretty spot on before the cleaning and only improved superheat after the cleaning. Not bad for an old R22 system.

On to the next!

So there I was… doing a mini split install.

Drilled a hole in the house, and got smacked with a familiar smell… a smelly smell… a scent you don’t forget.

Apparently, it has been like this for THE LAST 6 YEARS!

Gas leak detector and spray bubbles can confirm…

WE GOT A LEAK!

On to the next!
