The finish line is in sight at The Village Dallas.

It’s exciting to see Terraces at The Drey come together and to see the vision behind this adaptive reuse project becoming reality.

What was once an office building is being transformed into an elevated extension of The Drey Hotel, with thoughtful design, distinctive details and spaces created to feel just as inviting as the destination itself.

From the exterior architecture and terrace spaces to the lobby and guest experience inside, every detail is starting to come together.

Northgate Construction is proud to be part of Phoenix Property Company’s continued transformation of The Village and to help bring Terraces at The Drey to life.

September is here, and we’re excited to see Terraces at The Drey officially open its doors as the newest addition to The Village this month.

Some spaces are more than just an office.

Last week, we had the opportunity to attend the open house for The Real Estate Council TREC Dallas at their new home at Granite Properties Parkwell 33.

TREC plays such an important role in our Dallas CRE community by bringing people together, developing future leaders, influencing policy, creating opportunities for connection and education, and investing in the communities that make Dallas what it is.

TREC now has a space that reflects the organization they’ve become.
Northgate Construction had the opportunity to build out TREC’s new corporate office, and we are especially proud of the project because we also provided the capital improvements work throughout Parkwell 33.

It’s pretty special to see the space come to life and then see it filled with so many of the people who make our CRE community so strong. The open house was a great reminder that the built environment is ultimately about people - where we work, where we connect, and what we create together.

Congratulations to the TREC team on their new home. We’re proud to be a small part of this next chapter.

What a fun way to wrap up the summer! ☀️

On Friday afternoon, 50+ women got together for a Ladies CRE gathering with lots of catching up, meeting new people, making new connections and, of course, plenty of laughs.

One of the things I love about commercial real estate is that relationships really do matter. Some were old friends, some longtime business relationships, and some brand-new connections. It was fun to bring everyone together and talk about how we can work together moving forward.

Northgate Construction was happy to be one of the many hosts. Grateful for this group of smart, talented women and looking forward to what’s ahead!

With 19 years of commercial construction experience, Bryan brings strong field leadership, a hands-on approach, and a reputation for delivering quality projects. He has been highly regarded in the marketplace, and we’re thrilled to have him bring his experience, expertise, and problem-solving mindset to Northgate. The spaces we build have a lasting impact long after construction is complete.

Northgate Construction is proud to have completed the build-out of Universal Technical Institute's Lakeshore training facility, expanding its Dallas/Fort Worth campus with hands-on learning environments for the next generation of skilled professionals.

As Texas continues to grow and as demand for skilled labor continues to grow across the state, investments like this are helping prepare tomorrow's technicians, mechanics, welders, and skilled trades professionals for successful careers. UTI's expansion reflects its continued investment in meeting the region's workforce needs through additional training capacity and modern learning environments.

Northgate is honored to have played a role in delivering a space that supports both education and industry - creating an environment where students can gain the hands-on experience that prepares them for careers in high-demand fields. It was a privilege to support and attend Bisnow DFW Women Leading CRE Awards and to celebrate the incredible women (and friends) making an impact across all facets of commercial real estate.

One of the biggest takeaways from the conversations was that great projects, and great careers, are built through collaboration. Whether it’s learning from experienced mentors, bringing fresh perspectives to the table, or simply asking for help when you need it, success is rarely achieved alone.

With five generations now represented in today’s workforce, our industry has a unique opportunity to learn from one another. Different experiences and viewpoints make our teams stronger and help us deliver better results for our clients.

As part of the ongoing transformation of Dallas Arts Tower, this thoughtfully designed café brings a new level of energy and activation to the ground floor while enhancing the vibrancy of the Dallas Arts District neighborhood. Featuring organic coffee, matcha, scratch-made breakfast and lunch offerings, and a wellness-focused approach to food and beverage, Café OLIVIA has quickly become a destination for tenants, visitors, and the surrounding community.

The café's impact extends beyond its menu. Events like Matcha & Movement, a collaboration between Pilates214 and Café OLIVIA on July 25, demonstrate how thoughtfully designed spaces can foster wellness, connection, and community engagement.

From reimagined gathering spaces and meeting environments to enhanced wellness amenities and outdoor experiences, every aspect of the renovation was focused on delivering a more engaging and welcoming experience for tenants and visitors alike.

Northgate Construction is proud to be part of the continued evolution of The Village Dallas, one of Dallas' most iconic and innovative mixed-use developments. What began as a multifamily community has grown into a vibrant destination where hospitality, dining, retail, wellness, recreation, and residential living come together to create a true sense of place.

As part of Phoenix Property Company's ongoing vision for The Village, Northgate is converting an existing office building into Terraces at The Drey, an adaptive reuse project that will expand and elevate the hospitality experience within the community. Projects like this require creativity, collaboration, and a deep understanding of how to transform existing structures into destinations that meet today's evolving needs.

Set to open summer 2026, Terraces at The Drey will serve as an elevated extension of The Drey Hotel, bringing the property's total room count to 100 guest rooms and further strengthening The Village's reputation as a premier hospitality-driven destination in Dallas.
