We just started a project that showcases how this shop got its start. Repurposing. The piece is a 100+ year old back bar. We were told it came out of a bar in Ann Arbor. It's definitely been through a lot of use and abuse, and I'm pretty sure a fire at some point in its life. At 9' long the oak back bar is a heavy piece. Our job it to repair it, update it, and install it in a 170 year old home here in Adrian. After a day of disassembly, let repairs begin.

I had a client send me a photo of an old cabinet in a shop she was visiting. She asked me if I could modify it. Of course, I said yes and crossed my fingers. So, take a cabinet, cut it in two, build a backsplash from the wood in the back of the base portion, and stick it to the wall. No problem.
