We just wrapped up an incredible out-of-town project in Asheboro for David and Karen Hardesty. They were easily some of the best clients AMC has ever worked with – so easygoing, fun-loving, and intelligent!

This job featured the largest deck we've completed in 11 years, plus a stunning Douglas fir gazebo. We absolutely loved working with the massive 10x10 and 8x8 timbers. The new marine-grade structure has a slightly modified design to improve traffic flow, and we used top-of-the-line Trex Lineage decking and railing. To keep things dry under the main deck near the whirlpool bath, we installed Trex RainEscape waterproofing. We also incorporated a Trex aluminum handrail system and even Trex patio furniture.

Other custom features include a built-in pergola and trellis, providing a dry path from the house to the garage. All structures received a custom waterproof stain. The Douglas fir gazebo is set to become the perfect entertainment hub, soon to house an outdoor kitchen.

What an incredible transformation for Lee and Sherri Downey! It’s always a pleasure working with such amazing clients.

This project included a complete renovation of the she shed, featuring all-new flooring, removal of the garage door, installation of beautiful French doors, new tile, and custom cedar posts at the entrance.

We also transformed a screened-in, lowered porch into a fully climate-controlled dining room with tile flooring, new windows, a wood ceiling with exposed beams, stone accents beneath the windows, and a custom cedar opening where the exterior French door once stood. We removed the deck, graded the area, poured concrete, and installed tile.

The front exterior received a major facelift as well. We removed the outdated white vinyl, redesigned the space, and installed stunning cedar timber posts to create a warm, inviting appearance.

Inside the kitchen, the upgrades speak for themselves: a new backsplash, oven with range hood, live-edge shelving, custom live-edge tabletop, new sink, pot filler, and freshly painted cabinets.
