Notice to all residents in the Aiea neighborhood - On November 28, 2022, Su-Mo Builders, Inc., on behalf of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Hawaii, will start landscaping work on the Halawa Navy Sewer, Waterline Project.

The Green highlighted area indicated in the above picture involves landscaping work in the corridor area between Ulune Street & Kaimakani Street. Residents are expected to see workers and heavy equipment in the corridor area. It is recommended for residents near the project site to close their windows during the construction project due to minor dust, construction noise, and vibrations.

The Halawa Sewer, Water, and Drainage project has started work in the highlighted area. Completion of this area is forecasted in the next 3 to 4 weeks. Residents should expect heavy equipment and workers in the corridor area. It also recommended for residents near the project site to close their windows during construction due to minor dust, noise, and vibrations.

Notice to all residents in the Aiea neighborhood - On July 25, 2022, Su-Mo Builders, Inc., on behalf of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Hawaii, will start work in the corridor area above Poko road.
Access to the road and street parking in the corridor area above Poko Road will be limited until the construction work is complete. The affected area is indicated in the map above. Safety of the residents is our number one priority therefore we ask residents to be aware of the temporary changes and limitations. Residents are also requested not to park their vehicles in the easement area during construction hours. Thank you for your cooperation.

The Halawa Sewer Water & Drainage Repair Project has started Phase 3 and is forecasted to be completed in 3-4 weeks. Phase 3 includes the continuation of installing the sewer and water line between Ulune Street and Paihi Street. It is recommended for residents near the project site to close their windows during construction due to minor dust, construction noise, and vibrations.

Notice to all the residents in the Aiea neighborhood - On April 11, 2022, Su-Mo Builders, Inc., on behalf of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Hawaii, will start phase 8 of the Halawa Navy Sewer, Waterline Project in the corridor area above Poko road.

Access to the road and street parking in the corridor area above Poko Road will be closed until the construction work is complete. The closed area is indicated in red on the map above. Safety of the residents is our number one priority therefore we ask residents to be aware of the temporary changes and limitations. Notice to Webling Elementary School & all the residents in the Aiea neighborhood - In December 2021, Su-Mo Builders, Inc., on behalf of the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Hawaii, started Phase 6 work on the Halawa Navy Sewer and Waterline Project.

Phase 6 will involve a utility upgrade in the corridor area and on Paihi Street by Webling School. Sidewalks and parking in the area will be restricted or have limited access. The restricted area is indicated in orange on the map above. It is recommended for residents near the project site to close their windows during the construction project due to minor dust, construction noise, and vibrations. Construction work on Paihi street will be stopped to allow parents to pick up their kids from the school during the pick-up and drop-off timeframe.

All the residents & businesses in the Aiea neighborhood - the Navy's Halawa Sewer & Waterline Project Phase 1.1 have resumed on Kaimakani Street and Ulune Street on September 20, 2021.

Su-Mo Builders Inc., on behalf of the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Hawaii, has resumed Phase 1.1 work on Kaimakani Street and Ulune Street. Residents and motorists near the project site are asked to observe all traffic signs, anticipate/plan for possible delays and drive with caution.

Notice to Aiea Neighborhood Community
The Halawa Sewer, Water & Drainage Repair Project has been temporarily halted due to unanticipated circumstances. Su-Mo Builders and their subcontractors will not be in the project area. The construction site has been properly secured. Su-Mo Builders will be checking the job site on a weekly basis to ensure everything is in place.
There will be an update on the page regarding the status of when the work will resume.

Su-Mo Builders, Inc., and their subcontracts are very serious about washing muddy tires on work vehicles before they leave the job site. Employees are following all environmental regulations to protect both the worksite and the local community. In addition, project contractors are taking every very possible action to mitigate work generated dust and noise. Many thanks to area residents for their cooperation.
