Thank you to Rep. Emilia Strong Sykes for taking time out of her busy schedule this week to tour the training center and meet with some of our apprentices. She got to see first hand the skills that our apprentices work every day to master both on the job and in the classroom. She even got a demonstration on conduit bending from one of our upcoming apprentices Grace, and got to try out a smart bender. Thank you Rep. Sykes for the visit and for being an advocate for the building trades and registered apprenticeship.

Congratulations to Tyler Kamlowsky, our May Milwaukee Tool Apprentice of the Month! Tyler is an upcoming 2nd year apprentice who's been getting exceptional evaluations from his supervisors. "Tyler has shown growth in the time that I have worked with him, while this is my first report for Tyler I have worked on sites with him several times over the past 6 months. Tyler shows confidence in his decision-making and asks appropriate questions regarding the tasks that are set before him. Tyler will ask what the next task is before I can assign it showing ambition and drive. He is on track for where he should be in the program and I look forward to seeing his progress as he continues." Keep up the great work, Tyler!

Apprenticeship programs are the backbone of the electrical industry—developing skilled professionals who power our communities and drive innovation forward.

A major force behind that success is the electrical training ALLIANCE (etA), a joint program created over 70 years ago by NECA and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Today, it stands as the largest apprenticeship program in the industry, with over 350,000 apprentices trained and counting.

NECA and ELECTRI International have also developed a U.S. Department of Labor certified Project Management Apprenticeship. With over 130+ graduates, it prepares the next generation of leaders in both operations and project management.
