This chair needed more than new fabric — it needed real restoration.

We repaired and tightened the chair, cleaned and refreshed the original wood, added brand-new foam, and rebuilt the upholstery from the frame out. With a fabric like this, the pattern matching matters just as much as the installation, so we took the extra time to line everything up cleanly across the back, seat, arms, and front.

That’s the difference between simply recovering a chair and actually restoring it properly.

We had the opportunity to help out the City of Stow Fire Department by refreshing three of their gym seat pads, and we were happy to take care of this one for them.

It’s a small project, but it means a lot to us to be able to give something back to the people who serve our community every day.

A big thank-you to The University of Akron for trusting N&M Furniture Home Design with this project.

We updated 24 pieces of seating, taking care of the repairs, upholstery, and finishing work needed to bring everything back to a clean, professional standard — and we completed the full project in under two weeks.

That turnaround only matters when the quality is there, and that’s where our team takes pride: clean lines, consistent upholstery, solid construction, and attention to the details from the first piece to the last.

We also want to give a shout-out to C.F. Stinson for the fabric used on this project. Great material makes a difference, especially on furniture that’s going to see daily use.

A clean update can completely change a dining set.

These chairs got fresh new upholstery in a warm orange fabric, new padding where needed, and a clean fit that works beautifully with the original wood. We kept the character of the set while giving it a much more updated look.

Simple job, but the details still matter — smooth seats, clean corners, and a consistent finish across every chair.

From the frame up, every detail matters.

This chaise lounge received a complete rebuild—not just new fabric. We installed all-new foam, built a brand-new seat cushion, and carefully aligned the pattern across the entire chaise for a seamless, custom look. The tufted back was handcrafted, with every fold and button placed by hand to achieve a clean, elegant finish.

This chaise lounge had seen better days, but the frame was too beautiful to let go. Instead of copying the old design, we rebuilt it from the inside out.

The original tufting was completely removed, and every new diamond tuft was individually hand-folded and hand-tufted to create a cleaner, more elegant finish. We also made a brand-new custom cushion and paired it with a two-tone fabric combination that gives this piece a whole new personality while preserving its classic character.

The difference is in the details—and that’s what custom upholstery is all about.
