Not every customer conversation starts with a service appointment. Sometimes, it starts with questions, concerns, and simply needing someone who knows what they're talking about.

👀 What you see vs. what we see…

Mold can be pretty good at hide-and-seek. Unfortunately, it’s not a game you want it winning in your home. 🫣

In this case, a homeowner had a water leak on the other side of the wall and thought the damage was limited to one area. But when our inspector brought out the moisture meters and thermal imaging camera, we found signs that the problem extended much further than expected.

So, we investigated further… and discovered heavy mold growth inside the walls and cabinets. 😳

This is why a water leak shouldn't be judged by what you can see on the surface. Moisture can travel behind walls, beneath cabinets, and into hidden spaces where mold can grow long before you ever spot it.

At Dreyer's DKI, we use the right tools and a thorough inspection process to help uncover what's happening beneath the surface. Because finding the problem is the first step toward fixing it the right way!

🌡️ What can a thermal imaging camera tell us about water damage? 💧

Sometimes, what you can't see is just as important as what you can!

During a water mitigation inspection, our team uses thermal imaging cameras to identify temperature differences across surfaces that may indicate areas of concern. When water is involved, these cameras can help us spot potential moisture-affected areas behind walls, along ceilings, and in other places where damage might not be obvious to the naked eye. 👀

But here's the important part: a thermal camera doesn't actually detect moisture. It helps us identify temperature patterns that warrant a closer look, and our technicians use moisture meters and other inspection tools to verify what they're seeing.

Why does that matter? Because catching hidden moisture early can help us determine the extent of the damage, develop a more effective drying plan, and help prevent a small water problem from turning into a much bigger headache.

🎉 TWO YEARS OF KENDALL! 🎉

Today we’re celebrating the one and only Kendall and two years of being part of the Dreyer’s DKI team!

In just two years, Kendall has made leaps and bounds — and he’s become such an important part of what we do, especially in our Southern Territory. He works incredibly hard, tackles whatever comes his way, and somehow manages to keep a great attitude while doing it. 👏

If there’s a job to be done, Kendall is showing up prepared, protected, and ready to get to work. The proof is in the picture!

But beyond the PPE selfies, what really stands out is the impact Kendall has on the people we serve. Our customers regularly tell us how much they appreciate his communication, professionalism, and dedication. When you’re helping someone through a water, mold, fire, or storm loss, those things matter. A lot.
