Residents of Town of Wiley

Warning:
The contractors are pulling water from our system for the project. By doing so the water will get stirred up and potentially be red water. Before starting laundry turn on your cold water and make sure it’s clear. If it is not then run the cold water till it clears up or wait for it to settle. They need an extensive amount of water for the stage of construction they are at.
Thank you for your patience during the construction phase.

If you have any questions or concerns please contact us 719-589-4263 or [email protected]

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

The City of Monte Vista will begin major improvements to the downtown alleyways starting Monday, July 14, 2025. This project includes a full reconstruction of the alleys between Jefferson, Adams and Washington Streets, from 1st to 2nd Avenues. Construction is scheduled to be conducted between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday. We do not anticipate any construction on weekends at this time. The work should be completed by the end of October.

RMS Utilities crews will be replacing water lines, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems - bringing long-term improvements to downtown infrastructure and helping prevent future drainage issues.

This important project is made possible through funding from the Colorado Department of Local Affairs Energy and Mineral Impact Grant and the Public Works portion of the City's One-Cent Sales Tax.

We appreciate your patience during construction and thank you for supporting progress in Monte Vista.
