Some of the amazing ladies from CE Family and Express Disposal had the opportunity yesterday to attend the PROPEL Women’s Event, hosted by Albany Area Chamber of Commerce!

We had a wonderful time connecting with other women in our community and hearing from two inspiring speakers who shared their experiences, leadership lessons, and encouragement.

We’re grateful for opportunities like PROPEL that bring women together to connect, learn, and grow both personally and professionally. Thank you to the Albany Chamber for another great event!

Yesterday, the CE Family had the pleasure of welcoming students from the Audio, Video Technology & Film program at 4C Academy, alongside the Albany-Dougherty Economic Development Commission, to Concrete Enterprises and Industrial Manufacturing! 🎥

The students captured footage for a special project for the SWGA Career Expo, happening September 24 at the Albany Civic Center, where CE Family will also be attending.

We’re proud to support our local schools and community organizations while helping students explore career opportunities right here in Southwest Georgia.

Meet Jacob Smith, Assistant Manager at The Scrap Yard. With nearly five years on the team, Jacob says his favorite part of the job is getting to work alongside a great team every day.

One thing Jacob has learned is just how many different businesses produce scrap metal and other recyclable materials, giving him a greater appreciation for the industry and the role The Scrap Yard plays in it.

Outside of work, Jacob enjoys cheering on the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Atlanta Braves. When it's time to unwind, you'll likely find him enjoying a meal at LongHorn Steakhouse.

This morning, the CE Family had the pleasure of gathering at Doublegate Country Club for our Leadership Development Series featuring Seth Millican, President & CEO of the Georgia Trucking Association.

Seth shared valuable insight into the positive impact of Georgia’s trucking industry and the important role it plays in keeping our state and economy moving forward. The Georgia Trucking Association has served as a leading voice for the industry; strengthening safety, shaping policy, supporting workforce development, and advocating for policies that strengthen Georgia’s freight economy.

We truly appreciate Seth taking the time to speak with our group and share his knowledge, perspective, and passion for Georgia’s trucking industry.

Meet Doug Bailey, Plant Maintenance Manager at Concrete Enterprises. With 10 years on the team, Doug says his favorite part of the job is the people, the teamwork, and being part of a company where everyone works hard, supports one another, and does whatever it takes to get the job done right.

One thing Doug has learned while working at Concrete Enterprises is that attitude and consistency matter just as much as skill. He believes that when everyone works together and takes pride in what they do, a lot can be accomplished.

Outside of work, Doug is a dedicated runner who enjoys challenging himself both physically and mentally. Running has taught him discipline, perseverance, and the importance of showing up every day ready to improve. When it's time to unwind, you can find him at Mellow Mushroom on Thursday nights enjoying karaoke with family and friends. We're proud to have Doug as part of Concrete Enterprises and the CE Family team!

Meet Amelia Coe, General Manager at The Scrap Yard. Since helping launch the company three years ago, Amelia says her favorite part of the job is working with people. She enjoys helping customers understand the value of what they have, making sure they're treated fairly, and finding solutions to any challenges that come their way.

One thing Amelia has learned is just how valuable everyday items can be. From identifying different types of metals to understanding their worth, she's gained an appreciation for an industry that many people know very little about.

Outside of work, Amelia loves spending time with her grandkids, fishing, riding dirt roads on her side-by-side, and working in the yard—she definitely has a green thumb. When she's ready to relax, her favorite local spot is La Fuente.

The guys are aces on the course and on the job! Congratulations to Septic Solutions Plumbing for taking home the win at Sheridan Construction's golf tournament.

Turns out, everybody wins. What began as a day on the course at Sheridan Construction's annual golf tournament ended with a $10,000 investment in our community.

Congratulations to Septic Solutions Plumbing on their tournament win. And, thank you for choosing the Phoebe Foundation as the recipient of this generous gift.

We're also incredibly grateful to Sheridan Construction for creating an event that celebrates partnerships while giving back to organizations making a difference across Southwest Georgia.

Meet Kelsey Barfield, Payroll Specialist at CE Family. For the past 3 years, Kelsey has enjoyed watching the CE Family continue to grow and getting to interact with her coworkers every day. She says the people she works with are a big part of what makes her job so rewarding.

Working with all of the companies that make up the CE Family has taught Kelsey how important communication is and how to work with many different personalities. She's also learned that even when work is challenging, it's possible to have fun and enjoy what you do.

When she's not working, Kelsey enjoys spending time with her dogs, Mazie and Ray, her boyfriend Evan, family, and friends. She loves spending time on the river and is a die hard Georgia Bulldogs and Atlanta Braves fan. On the weekends, you can almost always find her at Mi Casa. We're proud to have Kelsey as part of the CE Family team!
