JT has a Bachelor of Science degree in Agronomy from Texas Tech University. He has an immense passion for turf and loved to play golf, so he wanted to work for a golf course. All the job openings in the golf industry were in large cities. Because he was born and raised in Albany, he felt like that just didn’t fit him. ed his roots and started Texas Grass Shall Grow, Inc. John Tom and his wife Cari, have been married for 8 years. They have 3 beautiful children; Chloe’, Houston & Huffman. John Tom has surrounded his self with a great team of employees from Albany and the surrounding area. This team consists of Jesse Valdez, Irrigation supervisor, who has 20+ years of irrigation experience. Shop foreman & mowing supervisor Kelsey Clark, and chemical supervisor AJ Clark have both trained under John Tom for the past 5 years. Business administrator Laci Boyett recently graduated from Tarleton State University, with a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Business. And part-time employee George Kelly who is currently studying architecture. Along with trained seasonal help. In our shop, we are like family. John Tom and his team strive to provide honest, dependable, quality service to Albany, Texas and the surrounding areas.
