Being prepared can make all the difference when an emergency happens. As part of our ongoing commitment to safety, MetroPower employees recently participated in hands-on First Aid and CPR training.

Employees practiced CPR and AED use while learning how to respond to situations including choking, bleeding, injuries, heart attacks and strokes, allergic reactions, heat-related emergencies, and more.

Safety is our #1 priority, and we’re proud of our employees for continuing to learn, prepare, and look out for one another.

As part of MetroPower’s ongoing commitment to the communities we serve, members of our Atlanta team recently joined Van Winkle Construction for its annual Shoot for Literacy fundraiser benefiting the Matthew E. Russell Foundation.

Eli Howard, John Wallace, Dustin Wyatt, and Spencer Hilburn participated in the event to support the Foundation’s efforts to increase literacy and help reduce poverty by providing children with greater access to books, technology, and educational opportunities.

We’re proud to support organizations making a difference and grateful to Van Winkle Construction for bringing our industry together for such a meaningful cause.

This past week, MetroPower's Warner Robins branch hosted its first Apprentice Competition.

Second-, third-, and fourth-year apprentices were brought together for a day focused on skill development, learning, and friendly competition. The event celebrated our apprentices and identified those who will represent Warner Robins in the MetroPower companywide Apprentice Competition this Fall, while also giving younger apprentices valuable experience to help prepare them for future career growth.

Thank you to Mayer, Lade Supply, and Lowe Electric Supply Co. for supporting the event with meals and giveaways, and congratulations to all of our apprentices who participated!
