We proudly recognize George Pressley, Jr., one of MetroPower, Inc.โs most respected and beloved Department Managers, for receiving the 2026 Book of Golden Deeds Award last night from the Exchange Club of Lee County. This is one of the highest honors bestowed by the Exchange Club and is presented to individuals whose lives reflect extraordinary service, humility, and a genuine servantโs heart.
George was truly surprised when his name was announced and he was presented with this distinguished award. The Book of Golden Deeds Award, established in 1919 by The National Exchange Club, honors unsung heroes who quietly dedicate themselves to improving their communities without seeking recognition or reward. It is among the nationโs longest-running and most prestigious community service honors.
This recognition describes George perfectly. Anyone who knows George knows the kindness, generosity, and leadership he demonstrates every day. He has long embodied the principles of servant leadershipโputting others first, leading by example, and serving wherever there is a need. Whether representing MetroPower in the community, riding his Harley to help raise funds for charitable causes, or volunteering as Santa to bring joy to families during the holidays, George consistently gives of himself with enthusiasm and compassion.
At MetroPower, servant leadership is one of our core values, and George Pressley is a shining example of what that truly means. His dedication to others, both within our company and throughout the community, makes us incredibly proud.
Congratulations, George, on this well-deserved honor. We celebrate you and thank you for the positive impact you continue to make in the lives of so many.
