This was a recent kitchen remodel we designed and completed for a wonderful couple in the local area. We removed all the old appliances, back splash, cabinets, and counter-tops. Once we had the area ready for the rough-in phase, we added a direct vent for the new microwave exhaust hood and pulled the wiring for new pendant lights. After we completed the necessary sheet-rock work and primer coat, we began making it pretty again!

These cabinets are a maple shaker style from one our local suppliers. We had previously installed the hardwood flooring throughout the lower level of the home, so we made sure to find a style of cabinetry and color that complimented them well. We also took the time to redesign the kitchen while maintaining a footprint that did not require the floor to be heavily altered.

After the cabinets were in, it was time for the beautiful counter-tops and new sink to be installed. The sink was supplied by the owner at our request. We find it best to have the owners select their sinks, faucets, light fixtures, etc. and supply them. This is an area where they can choose to be extravagant, or subdued, in both style and cost. By doing this, the owners have control over the finished product and budget.

Once the counters were in it was time for backsplash and grout. We went with a white subway tile backsplash here for multiple reasons. It is a very timeless look that is also relatively low maintenance thanks to the small grout lines. It is also budget friendly on both material and labor costs. While the tile work was being completed we had the lights hung and painted the walls with a fresh coat of semi gloss to match the adjoining dining room. We hung and connected the new microwave/exhaust hood while the other appliances were professionally cleaned by an outside company. Once they were brand new again, we installed them and completed our final clean out. Another wonderful project completed on time and within budget!!

P.S.- The panel on the back of the cabinets looks funky due to lighting! 😜

We are in the process of removing the front porch from this historic home in Corvallis to allow access for excavating the broken sewer main. She is very positive for lead based paint so we needed a full tent out to accommodate containment. Though lead work is never fun and very time consuming, it is nice to be out of the weather!!

These are a few of the kitchen remodels we have completed in the past few months. Take a look and let us know if we can help your ho-hum kitchen become what you always dreamed it could be!

12/01/2016

We have been asked by a client to install Christmas lights due to a lack of folks in the area that do this. We wanted to let everyone else out there know that we are more than happy to take care of this! We understand that a lot of people don't have the time and can be intimidated of climbing ladders and crawling around the edges of a roof. We would be happy to come out and hang your lights and/or exterior decorations, then return after the holidays to take them down. If this sounds like something you would like to take advantage of (or know someone who could), please give us a call at (541) 231-4323 to schedule a time. Happy Holidays!!!!
