The Seasons Change, Your Windshield Doesn’t 🍂

Summer turns into fall, temperatures start to drop, and before you know it, we’re scraping frost off the windshield again.

If you have a small chip or crack in your windshield, don’t wait for the temperature change to make it worse. Temperature fluctuations can put additional stress on damaged glass and cause a small crack to spread.

Answer: C. Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. 🚗

ADAS is a group of safety features designed to help drivers stay aware of their surroundings and avoid or reduce the severity of accidents. Depending on the vehicle, these systems can include lane departure warnings, forward collision warnings, automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and pedestrian detection.

That’s why the camera and sensors mounted around your windshield are so important—and why ADAS recalibration may be needed after a windshield replacement! Did you know there are different types of ADAS, and they don’t all recalibrate the same way.

A windshield is made from laminated safety glass! 🚗🪟Unlike regular glass, laminated glass has two layers of glass with a sheet of Lamination in between them. If the windshield is damaged, the plastic layer helps hold the glass together instead of allowing it to shatter into dangerous pieces.
That’s one of the reasons your windshield is such an important part of your vehicle’s safety system!

Sending Your College Kid Off? 🎓🚗

As your college student gets ready to head off on their own, there’s already plenty for them to think about—classes, roommates, a new routine, and maybe even living in a new city or state.

The last thing you want is for them to have to worry about a cracked windshield or a chip that suddenly spreads while they’re hours away from home.

A few quick tips to make finding us even easier:
🚗 Condo Suites is located just behind the Albertville Outlet Mall.
🔓 The complex has two sections — one gated and one non-gated. Glasstastic is located in the non-gated portion, which is accessed off Kadler Ave NE.
🚐 As you enter the complex, you'll see a Glasstastic van near the entrance, so you'll know you're in the right place!
➡️ Continue through the complex toward the back, and you'll find us in Unit 6F.

Whether you're stopping by for a windshield replacement, chip repair, dropping off a frame for a window in your home, or a custom glass project, we're excited to help.
