Fall is a great time to aerate!

Over the summer, lawns take a lot of abuse: mowing, foot traffic, pets, and especially our heavy Minnesota clay soils can leave the ground pretty compacted.

Aeration pulls small plugs from the soil to allow water, air, and nutrients to get down to the roots where they’re needed.

The plugs shown in the first photo are a good example of what can be hiding underneath your lawn. Some of this soil was almost entirely clay.

If your lawn feels hard, struggles to absorb water, or could use some help filling in, fall aeration is a great place to start. For patchy and thin lawns, we also offer overseeding.

This landscape bed was ready for an upgrade!

We removed the old, worn-out black plastic edging and replaced it with bullet edgers. The new edging gives the beds a cleaner, more defined border and a much more premium look.

Now booking fall aerations & overseeding!

Aeration is one of the best bangs for your buck when it comes to encouraging a thick, thriving lawn. Reduced compaction, improved drainage, and better nutrient intake are just a few of the key benefits.

After the hot, dry summer we’ve had, the clay soil we have around here could use some help recovering to head into next season strong.

Have thin spots in your lawn? Pairing with overseeding is a great way to fill in those thin areas and encourage a fuller, healthier lawn.

Yesterday’s rain was much needed! ☔️ I couldn’t help but appreciate how well some of our customers’ lawns have held up through this stretch of hot, dry weather.

These results don’t happen by accident. It comes from staying consistent with fertilization, mowing a little taller, watering properly, and keeping the soil healthy with services like aeration and dethatching.

Healthy shrubs don’t happen by accident. 🌿

These shrubs had become thick, leggy, and overgrown after years without proper pruning. This spring, we performed a hard rejuvenation cut to reset them and encourage healthy new growth.

These photos show the progression from overgrown, to rejuvenation, to healthy new growth, and finally some recent pruning. Still a work in progress, but with redirected growth and more room to breathe, these shrubs are set up to thrive for years to come.

Now is a great time for light pruning and shaping to keep your shrubs looking their best and encourage healthy growth.
