Notice to all state of Maine license exam candidates (and additional resource links).

After a long period of book lists and bulletins being unavailable by the new exam administrator (ProV), we now have links to updated pages (links below).

As of this posting, there is a problem with the bulletin posted by ProV dated 4/19/16. It is incomplete. Even though ProV is collecting fees for offering the exams, they have yet to add exam content and book lists for these trades:

Limited Electrician - Water Pumps, Crane Technician

Fuel Technician:
Master Oil Burner Technician - 1&2 Oils (over 15gph)

If you are applying for any of the exams listed above, you must contact ProV at this number (866) 720-7768 and request that the book lists and exam content is sent to you by email.

Notice to students taking ICC exams:

If you recently tried to access the exam bulletins (January 2016), you would have found all of the bulletins were missing from the ICC site. The reason? ICC has decided to change their fees for test taking. As a result, every ICC exam bulletin was re-published in February 2016.

If you have an upcoming ICC exam, we strongly urge you to use the link below to re-download your exam bulletin and check your book list again. It may have changed since December 2015.

Notice to all license exam candidates for the jurisdictions listed below (and other valuable resources).

We have recently updated our trade pages with new book lists and exam content information. If your state or city is in the list and you plan to take an exam, you would be well advised to check the current requirements by both the licensing agency and testing company (ICC, PSI, ProV, etc.).

Books can be very expensive. Always check Amazon or other used book sellers for used copies first. Remember, for the trades we have researched, links to free books in PDF format and used copies are provided on each trade exam web page. No other provider of construction exam study materials provides this valuable information.
