Island Lawn & Snow is currently hiring for the following full-time positions: crew leaders and crew members, and part-time position: crew members.

Must be 18 years of age or older to apply! Crew leaders must have a valid drivers license, crew members do not require a drivers license, but it would be great if they did. Hours are typically 8am-5pm but may vary depending on season and tasks at hand.

Tasks to be performed: mowing, trimming, pulling weeds, blowing off driveways and sidewalks, edging, landscaping, and more.

Are you ready for a change? Tired of reporting to work and doing the same job every day all year long? Come talk to us! We work all year long, with tasks changing each season, so the variety of work is great! Open positions are for full-time crew members, but part-time may be an option.

Don’t cheat yourself, TREAT yourself!...Oh. Wait, I got that wrong…Don’t cheat your lawn, TREAT your lawn! Give your lawn the love and care it needs after the dry winter we’ve had and have your lawn aerated and/or power raked!

What are the benefits of aerating or power raking you ask?

Aerating:
-Reduces the soil compaction
-Improves the lawns tolerance to stress brought on by heat
and drought
-Improves the ability for the lawn to absorb nutrients from
fertilizer
-Enhances the ability for the soil to absorb water
-Improves drainage and reduces puddling

Power raking:
-Allows better access for water and sunlight to reach the
grassroots
-Fertilizers and nutrients can reach the soil faster
-Helps avoid many types of diseases
-Helps the lawn grow healthier
-Allows the growth of the grass to be more even across the
entire lawn

The benefits of having both done…by reducing the soil compaction, it opens it up for the water to get to the roots and rejuvenate your lawn (like a spa day). Thus, making it a happier and healthier lawn!

Must have a good work ethic, positive attitude, work well with others, be honest and dependable, always on-time, and be able to follow directions. Must appear and interact professionally with customers and coworkers at any and all job sites. Must be able to work in various working conditions. Valid drivers license and clean driving record are required. Ability to drive a truck and trailer is a plus!
