I love going through different towns and seeing these flags hung, all the local home town Hero's, but there is something about this one. It brings back memories. I remember being just a kid his Dad coming over to talk to my Dad, my mom cooking up a meal to bring over to them. I remember hearing about him how he just got married and Volunteered to go to Vietnam, the stories around town of him being a local hero. I didn't understand much at the time. But seeing this now. Wow, now that's something.

Here is a story i found on him a few years ago. He was wounded and went back in to save his guys, he never gave up. He kept on going until he couldn't any more.

Would love to see other people post pictures of their towns Hero's they know, people who sacrificed their lives for others.
