“This law doesn’t do anything to stop [bad actors or counterfeit drugs]. In fact, if
this law passes, it will only encourage patients to get [compounded GLP-1s]
through the grey market because they’ll lose access to the compounded versions
that they’ve been reliant on.”

Rather than making patients safer, California Assembly Bill 1990 imposes
restrictions on licensed compounding pharmacies that are already subject to state and federal oversight. APC’s Tenille Davis breaks it down on KTVU:
