Senior Vice President and Division Director Bruce Phillips, alongside Deputy Division Director Pam Lincoln, led a discussion for our interns on how SPA's Space and Intelligence Division provides unique services to the US Space Force, Combatant Commands, Intelligence Community, and NASA. The interns learned the inner workings of the division and the particular capabilities needed to provide top-quality results for our National Defense.

Our SPA VETS Employee Resource Group honored and celebrated the 251st US Army Birthday today. Complete with a cake-cutting and a historic overview of America's longest-standing service, employees enjoyed their time mingling and celebrating together.

Established on June 14, 1775, the US Army is the first military branch formed in our nation, tracing its roots to colonial times. The Army's mission is clear and unwavering: "When we are called, we will answer... and we will win. This We'll Defend!"

SPA thanks our nation's soldiers of all specialties as they stand behind their oath to defend the freedom we enjoy today.

Turning Communication into Mission Advantage

How are you beating the heat?

SPA’s employee resource group (ERG), Multicultural Excellence, Recognition, and Individual Talent (MERIT), cooled down the office with a refreshing ice cream social. Whether people preferred chocolate, vanilla, or a mix of both, there were plenty of options to choose from. Employees from across the company gathered to take a break from their day, enjoy a sweet treat, and play a few card games.

Shaping the Future of Mission Capabilities

Our interns had the opportunity to hear directly from SPA’s Chief Capabilities Officer, Mark Adams, about our enterprise-wide capability strategy.

Mark explained how our Fellows in Applied AI, DevSecOps and Cloud, Software Engineering, and other domains are structured to work together as a mission-focused capability ecosystem. He then walked through how this approach connects strong technical ex*****on with real operational outcomes, ensuring that what we design and build stays closely aligned with real-world mission needs.

Throughout the conversation, Mark emphasized how quickly technology has grown, and how that growth is changing the way we think about development. For our interns, it was a clear look at alignment of our capabilities with national security challenges, and how their skills can contribute to mission impact in a fast-changing environment.
