We are incredibly pleased to share that the Grove City College Smith Hall of Science & Technology project has been recognized as Best Renovation Construction Over $20 Million by the Master Builders' Association of Western Pennsylvania.

We are especially grateful to Grove City College for the trust they placed in our team and for being a true partner throughout this project. It was a pleasure to work alongside SmithGroup Architects, our dedicated trade partners and consultants, and an outstanding project team who worked together to make this win possible.

This award belongs to everyone who contributed their time, talent, and care along the way. We are proud of what we accomplished together.

We had a great time hosting our Annual Superintendent’s Meeting at Topgolf Pittsburgh ⛳️ The Landau team teed things off with a State of the Union, reflecting on the hard work and wins of 2025 and looking ahead to another exciting year.

It was great to welcome new faces, share updates from our safety committee, and open the floor for conversation so we could hear directly from our team. After the meeting, we spent time connecting over some friendly competition. 🏌️‍♀️

All in all, a great way to start the year together!

We recently celebrated the opening of Allegheny Health Network newly renovated Inpatient Rehabilitation Center at AHN Allegheny Valley Hospital ✂

As Construction Manager, Landau Building Company led the 8,800 SF renovation, updating 12 patient rooms along with rehabilitation and occupational therapy spaces, support areas, and upgraded MEP systems. The new space is equipped with the latest rehab technology to support patients recovering from illness, injury, or surgery.

Designed by Stantec, this renovation marks an important step forward for advancing patient care at Allegheny Valley Hospital. A big thank you to the entire project team for helping to bring this space to life.

A big milestone for pediatric care at WVU Medicine Golisano Children's Hospital 👏

We recently completed a 15,200 SF interior fit-out of shelled space on the 10th floor, transforming it into a fully operational outpatient clinic. Our team managed the renovation within an active hospital, coordinating closely with hospital operations while maintaining safety and infection control throughout.

Designed by Stantec, the new clinic includes an interactive pediatric waiting room, 27 exam rooms, 4 sleep labs, 2 sensory & observation rooms, 5 work rooms, an office suite, a lab processing and blood draw area, a staff lounge, and a conference room.

The Landau Team is proud to be part of a project that makes a real impact for patients and families across West Virginia.

Happy Holidays from our team to yours 🎄

This season, the Landau team stayed busy in the best ways; spending time with some of our clients and coming together for our annual office holiday party and beer exchange.

Landau was also proud to support the The Salvation Army USA’s Angel Tree Program again this year, helping fulfill holiday wishes and essential needs for the children in the Fairmont, WV area. A big thank you to our awesome team for their generosity and spirit they bring, not just during the holidays, but all year long.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Jim Marks at the age of 87.

Jim was the founder of Marks Construction and later cofounder of Marks-Landau Construction in 2006. His vision, leadership, and partnership were instrumental in establishing Landau’s presence and success in West Virginia, a legacy that continues to shape our company today.

Jim’s impact on the industry and within our organization will be felt for generations. We are deeply grateful for his contributions and the partnership that made so much of our growth possible.

This past weekend, our Vice President of Preconstruction Services, Christopher Priest and his family proudly supported his wife, Meghan Priest, BSN, RN, ONC, as she was honored at the Cameos of Caring Awards Gala, hosted by the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing.

Representing UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, Meghan was recognized for her outstanding dedication to patient care and leadership within the nursing community. Each honoree is nominated by their facility for demonstrating exceptional clinical decision-making, serving as patient advocates, and inspiring others as role models in healthcare.

Landau Building Company is pleased to share that Craig Bender has taken on a new role as Preconstruction Manager.

Before joining Landau, Craig worked as a Project Architect at NBBJ in New York City, where he led design coordination and planning for complex, large-scale developments.

Since joining Landau in 2023 as an Assistant Project Manager, Craig has quickly become an invaluable member of our team. His strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to anticipate client needs have made him a key contributor during the preconstruction phase of several of our most challenging projects.

In his new role, Craig will focus on supporting our estimating efforts and advancing business development initiatives, further enhancing our ability to serve our clients and strengthen long-term partnerships.
