Leaking windows usually tell a bigger story.

This homeowner reached out because their existing windows were leaking and they wanted to upgrade to Andersen 100 Series windows.

Once we opened things up, we found water damage caused by improper flashing and house wrap details around the original window installation. That is why window replacement is not always just a simple remove-and-replace.

For this project, we repaired the damaged areas, installed Andersen 100 Series windows, used AZEK prefinished PVC trim with concealed fastener plugs, installed bendable head flashing on the radius windows, replaced HardiePlank siding where needed, and painted everything to tie it back together.

The finished product looks clean, but the important part is that the details behind the finish were corrected.

We recently wrapped up a door refinishing project on a beautiful waterfront home in Seabeck.

This was one of those projects where the goal was not to replace what was there, but to preserve it.

These wood doors are a major part of the character of the home. They frame the view, match the architecture, and have the kind of warmth you do not always get with a new factory-finished replacement door.

The process involved removing the existing exterior doors, installing temporary solid-core doors to keep the home secure and protected, sanding and cleaning the original doors, masking the glass, and applying 5 coats of Epifanes clear varnish.

One detail that matters on exterior wood doors is finishing more than just the front and back faces. The top, bottom, hinge pockets, and hardware openings all need attention too. If those areas are left unfinished or under-protected, moisture can work its way in and shorten the life of the door.

Not every project needs to be a full remodel. Sometimes the right move is taking the time to restore and protect the details that already make the home special.

One of the best parts of this project was being able to help the customer visualize the transformation before construction ever started.

Using our design process, we took this bathroom from an outdated separate tub and shower layout and created a plan that allowed the customer to clearly see how the new walk-in shower and built-in linen closet would look in their space before we began the work. The photos show the original bathroom, our Chief Architect renderings, and the completed project brought to life.

This custom shower is loaded with features:

Custom-sized infinity drain designed to accommodate the double multi-diverter valve setup
3/4" supply lines run to both valves to maintain strong water pressure
Two rain heads
Six body sprayers
Two hand wands
Two thermostatic digital display mixer valves so the user can set their ideal shower temperature and keep it there
A second digital display showing current water temperature
Double benches
Two niches
One long grab bar adjusted from the original design to better fit the customer’s final preference
Frameless custom glass shower doors

Being able to design and render a project like this ahead of time helps our customers make confident decisions, fine tune details before construction starts, and move into the build phase with a much clearer vision of the finished product.

This one came together beautifully and is a great example of how thoughtful planning, quality craftsmanship, and strong communication can turn an idea into a finished space that looks and functions exactly the way it should.
