Meet Laurie, Staff Accountant at Horizon Construction! For almost 5 years, Laurie has been a key part of our Accounting team, supporting the Facilities Department and leading Sales Tax and License renewals.

Outside of work, Laurie's heart is full — spending time with family, including a brand-new grandson and puppy, and cheering on the Braves and UGA Bulldogs through every season!

From vision to reality!

Our team recently completed a truly one-of-a-kind remodel for the Chick-fil-A in Troy, Ohio.

Originally, the restaurant occupied only half of an inline retail building, with the remaining space leased to another tenant. As part of this reinvestment project, we transformed the entire building into a 6,333-square-foot Chick-fil-A, making it one of the 10 largest restaurants in the Chick-fil-A system.

This unique renovation completely reimagined the space, creating a larger, more efficient restaurant that better serves both the operator and the community.

EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT: MEET DREW

Meet Drew M., a Project Manager in Horizon Construction’s Facilities Department, who recently celebrated five years with Horizon!

One of Drew’s recent accomplishments was helping manage the successful rollout of digital menu boards at approximately 36 locations while continuing to support the department’s ongoing facilities projects.

Outside of work, Drew is a proud husband and father of three. He enjoys spending time with his family, indoor rock climbing, and working on his first novel, which he hopes to release later this year.

We are proud to celebrate the completion of this ground-up Chick-fil-A project in beautiful Amelia Island, Florida.

This project includes a special acknowledgment of our Superintendent, Jim G. The restaurant operator honored Jim by incorporating his favorite Bible verse into a custom mural, creating a lasting tribute to his significant contribution to the project.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to the Horizon team for their hard work and collaboration in bringing this new location to life:

Our Chipotle Pinellas Park Curb‑In project—including the full shell and interior buildout—was delivered on time, with TCO and Health Department approval secured before punch and no shifts to the opening date.

Horizon Construction is proud to have completed the CAVA buildout at Posner Village in Davenport, Florida.

This project brings CAVA’s fresh Mediterranean-inspired dining experience to a growing Central Florida market, and our team was proud to help bring the space to life.

Congratulations to everyone involved in another successful restaurant project, including Superintendent Donald M., Project Manager Kaye L., and Coordinator Rebecca G.

Another milestone for Horizon Construction. Our newest ground‑up Chipotle is complete — and it marks our first "Habanero" Chipotle prototype project. Even better, the team secured the CO three weeks ahead of the scheduled punch date. Great work by everyone involved.
