Friday marked more than the start of construction—it marked a meaningful step forward for seniors across Volusia County.
On April 17, Team Wendover proudly joined Volusia County to celebrate the construction commencement of Bristol Manor, an 80-unit affordable senior community in Orange City that will expand access to safe, stable housing for one of our most vulnerable populations.
This milestone is part of Volusia County’s Transform386 initiative, a critical effort to rebuild and strengthen communities following the impacts of Hurricane Ian—ensuring long-term resilience and opportunity for residents across the region.
At Wendover, we believe housing is the foundation for well-being. Bristol Manor is thoughtfully designed to support seniors not just with affordability, but with dignity, connection, and daily enrichment—from wellness and activity spaces to opportunities for community engagement and independence.
In a state where the need for affordable housing continues to outpace supply—particularly for seniors living on fixed incomes—projects like this are essential. And they don’t happen alone. This moment reflects the strength of partnership between public leadership, private development, and a shared commitment to serve.
We’re proud to stand alongside Volusia County and our partners in bringing this vision to life—and even prouder of what this community will mean for the residents who will one day call Bristol Manor home.
This is how we grow with purpose. This is The Wendover Way.
